The Old Settler’s Music Festival will move to a new site starting with the April 19-22, 2018 festival. The 30-year-old organization was surprised and disappointed to receive a letter on Aug. 8 from Scott Roberts, owner of the Salt Lick Barbecue Pavilion in Driftwood, informing the board that the property would not host the festival in 2018. The festival has been held on that site and the accompanying Camp Ben McCulloch since 2002.

In June of 2017 Midnight North is slated to release their third studio album: Under the Lights. On this full length record, Midnight North left it all on the court. Recorded by David Simon-Baker (Los Lobos, ALO, Jackie Greene, Mother Hips) at the Greene Room and Allegiant Studios, Under the Lights features their 11 best new tunes. Expect flares of country on tracks like “The Highway Song” and “Greene County”, tinges of soul on the likes of “Back To California”, but mostly good solid rock and roll.

On September 1st, Nashville-based alt-country rocker Becky Warren, who is gearing up for her second run in a year with the Indigo Girls, will unleash a deluxe version of her stunning debut album, War Surplus, featuring four additional and previously unreleased tracks.
