Alan Evans Trio, featuring soul and jazz veteran Soulive's founding member Alan Evans, kicks off their US Drop & Run tour beginning August 5, 2012, with over 30 stops across the country including Los Angeles, Santa Cruz, San Francisco, St. Louis, Philadelphia, Brooklyn and more; ending in Florida for Bear Creek Festival.
 

Rickie Lee Jones has teamed with (longtime fan) Ben Harper for her upcoming album The Devil You Know.  Produced by Harper, Jones calls the project a "simple, surprising" album of covers.  The release date is August 28, 2012 on Concord Records.

Perennial jamband, Hiding From Andy has announced plans to release its third studio album, You Can Go Home Tomorrow, due out in the Fall of 2012. The Philadelphia area groove-rock outfit crafts their most fun sonic experience to date, with 4 new songs and a classic, fan-favorite slated to appear on the EP. Recorded throughout 2012, and produced by the band itself, the album ranges in topics from finding the courage within, to giving deep thanks to loved ones.

Tedeschi Trucks Band premiered their new video for "Darling Be Home Soon" exclusively to fans yesterday. The track is off the recent live album, Everybody's Talkin'.

Weeks ago 17 year-old Ruby Jane not only graduated from high school, but released her first solo album. The Texas based fiddler and multi-instrumentalist has been playing music since her youth and has been rewarded numerous awards and shared the stage with the likes of Willie Nelson and Lyle Lovett.

Pretty Lights will be previewing material from the forthcoming album on the “The Illumination Tour,” which launches with two sold-out hometown shows at Red Rocks Amphitheatre in Morrison, CO on August 17 and 18. Tickets go on sale today for the remaining shows on the first leg of the headline run (August 23 – October 6) with the exception of Mobile, AL (on sale July 2) and San Francisco, CA (on sale July 13).

As a child of the eighties and a huge fan of all of Karl Denson’s projects, this show was a must see for me.
