Wreckless Strangers, Bay Area Americana troubadours noted for their prolific songwriting and energetic live shows, are set to play the newly re-opened Peri’s in downtown Fairfax on Friday, April 8. Peri’s is a true original and one of Marin County’s most beloved live music venues. Closed since the pandemic began, Peri’s opened its doors to the public on March 17.

It has deep roots in family and bluegrass that have extended, intertwined, and grown deep over the last 20 years. We had the opportunity to chat with one of the founders of the festival Skye McDonald about the festival and what the last 20 years have meant to him and the other founders.
Connecticut jam quartet Eggy channeled the luck of the Irish last Thursday night at the famed Mercury Lounge in New York, NY. The Woodbridge, CT based squad crushed their rescheduled post Phish YEMSG December after show on March 17th. This is the first time they have played in New York City since prior to the pandemic, opening for Spafford at the Brooklyn Bowl on February 6, 2020, and will certainly not be the last.

It took all of 30 seconds into their show at Boston’s The Sinclair on Wednesday night to see that the members of psychedelic instrumentalist band Circles Around The Sun are incredibly excited for this spring tour. Right off the starting line of the show opening “Saturday’s Children,” Adam MacDougall was flailing jubilantly over his multiple keyboards, dishing out a spectrum of eerie and intriguing wails between synthesizer and piano.
Today, Birmingham, Alabama-based band Bob Marston & the Credible Sources have announced their forthcoming debut full-length LP, due out June 3rd, with the release of its title track. Marston wrote "So Long" after reflecting on how to be a better friend, take equal responsibility for disconnection, and put in equal work for reconnection.

Boston-based world-dub-jazz collective Club d'Elf have released "Zeed Al Maal," the third single and video (watch/share) from their upcoming double album, You Never Know, out April 1. A folk song from the Gnawa musical tradition, it was taught to Club d'Elf's founding member Mike Rivard by the legendary Moroccan musician Maalem Mahmoud Gania during a trip to Essaouira, Morocco several years back.

Today, Cypress Hill has released their tenth studio album, Back In Black, produced entirely by Black Milk, via MNRK. To ring in the release, the group has shared a new video for album highlight "Certified," which was directed by Tillavision, who in 2021 created content in the 3D, AR (augmented reality), and VR (virtual reality) spaces for the likes of Swae Lee, Pop Smoke, JuiceWRLD, Young Dolph, Lyrical Lemonade, Bape, Chinatown Market, Chicago Bears, Patrick Mahomes and Kyler Murray.

Gibson’s legendary former president Theodore “Ted” McCarty helped develop some of the most iconic electric guitars ever created such as the Les Paul, ES-335, Flying V, Explorer, SG, and Firebird. On March 18, 1957 (3/18/1957), at the height of his creative output, Ted detailed and signed a drawing for a new solid body instrument concept which was never produced, until now.
