For the first time, Cirque du Soleil is dedicating a show to country music and its rich storytelling. The unique production, which kicked off in Nashville, Tennessee earlier this month features a curated catalog of songs released today as an album entitled, Songblazers via BMG in collaboration with Universal Music Group Nashville.

Acclaimed multi-platinum alternative rock bands Gin Blossoms and Toad the Wet Sprocket are set to embark on a 15-date co-headlining summer tour. Kicking off on Thursday, August 1, in Wisconsin, the tour will bring the “Hey Jealousy” and “Walk on the Ocean” hitmakers to amphitheaters and theaters across the Midwest and East Coast. Joining them as a special guest will be Vertical Horizon, the multi-platinum band known for their chart-topping hit “Everything You Want” and more.

Jenny Scheinman, acclaimed violinist and composer, for many years a stalwart of the New York jazz and creative music scenes, has announced her new album, All Species Parade, will be released October 11 via Royal Potato Family. A ten-track double-album, comprising over 72 minutes of music, it's brought to life by pianist Carmen Staaf, guitar icons Bill Frisell, Nels Cline and Julian Lage, and the revered rhythm team of bassist Tony Scherr and drummer Kenny Wollesen.

Rising reggae rock singer, songwriter, producer and guitarist Joe Samba has released his new single “Meant To Be” with Wax and announced his new studio album, Lifeline, will be released on Friday, September 27th via LAW Records. Tempering a head-nodding bounce with a salsa shake and loose guitar lick, “Meant To Be,” co-produced by Eric Krasno of Soulive and Samba, is about being on the road and having second thoughts about what you’re doing.

The fourth consecutive sold-out edition for Inkcarceration Music & Tattoo Festival 2024 was held July 19-21 at the historic Ohio State Reformatory in Mansfield, Ohio, welcoming 75,000 music fans for three days of music, tattoos and haunted attractions. The event brought in more than $10 million in economic impact to the area, and more than $50 million in total since the first year in 2018.
 

Grammy Award-winning acoustic guitarist Tommy Emmanuel and Grammy Award-winning bluegrass fiddler Michael Cleveland joined together on July 10 to help kick off the Chet Atkins Appreciation Society’s four-day annual event that was held at the Music City Sheraton Hotel and Convention Center in Nashville. Emmanuel and Cleveland appeared together onstage at the Grand Ole Opry, performing “Mr. Guitar,” their collaborative track on the current and critically acclaimed Chet Atkins tribute album, WE STILL CAN’T SAY GOOD BYE—A Musicians’ Tribute To Chet Atkins.
