When festival organizers dreamed up the Master Musicians Festival nearly three decades ago, their idea was simple: to honor those whose contributions have had a significant effect on their respective genres and to highlight the up-and-coming acts who are carrying the torch of their forebears.
Swedish Americana singer Jesper Lindell’s second album, Twilights (coming March 18, 2022), is a creative tour de force, a compelling mix of blue-eyed soul and down-to-earth classic rock, a timeless sound coming anew from Scandinavia. During two years of setbacks – weathering label issues, a pandemic, cancelled tours, and a kidney disease to boot – Jesper and his band had little else to do but write and record music. The result is a remarkable new album recorded in their own studio in Brunnsvik, outside of Ludvika, Sweden.

Revered Austin, TX singer-songwriter Darden Smith has shared the official music video for “Miles Between,” the latest single from Smith’s forthcoming album Western Skies, due March 25. The song was co-written with country star Jack Ingram, who recently welcomed Smith on The Jackin’ Around Show which is now available to watch/stream today.

Jack White has released “Hi-De-Ho,” the latest single from FEAR OF THE DAWN (out April 8), and a collaboration with A Tribe Called Quest figurehead and acclaimed artist and producer Q-Tip. The Brooklyn Bowl announces Robin Thicke will join New Orleans funk-brass maestros The Soul Rebels for their shows at Brooklyn Bowl on April 1st and 2nd as part of the band’s national Epic Vibes Tour. The performances mark The Soul Rebels’ triumphant return to Brooklyn and come exactly two years since their pandemic-canceled Brooklyn Bowl show with the late DMX.
