Moogfest came into orbit yesterday kicking off a sequence of events to our 4 days of synthesizing music, art, and technology. Beginning early in the day the Moog Pop-Up factory began building the Subsequent 37 CV synthesizer that debuted at the festival. The conjoined rooms at the Power Plant Gallery hosted an array of various synthesizers and manufacturers in the Modular Marketplace.

When legendary hip hop personality Fab Five Freddy introduced the members of Brownout at the 2017 Austin Music Awards, it seemed fitting that a legend of that stature would be tasked to pass the floor to a band of musicians who already have earned the respect of Prince (RIP), GZA (Wu-Tang Clan), Steve Berlin (Los Lobos), Bernie Worrel (RIP), and Ozzy Osbourne.
