The newest funk heavyweights on the scene, Analog Son, are back with another performance in Boulder, July 31st with legendary saxophonist Maceo Parker. With a string of ground-shaking and crowd pleasing shows following the release of their latest LP Stomp And Shout, Analog Son is ready to deliver another incredible performance.

Leaders from Durham’s civic organizations, cultural institutions, government and business announced earlier today that Moogfest – the internationally acclaimed festival of music, art and technology -- will debut in Durham May 2016. This announcement signals a long-term commitment by festival organizers, reinforcing the exploding technology scene and culture of innovation in the Triangle. The three-day event will run from May 19-22, 2016.

Last Friday I had the pleasure of attending the Greener Grounds “Photosynthesis” EP release party at the 1Up Colfax in Denver, CO. I could sit here and write the typical compliments to an up and coming band that releases some really great music… but I won’t. Greensky Bluegrass announces the addition of more than two dozen dates to their Fall Tour. The boys from Kalamazoo will be busy criss-crossing the country performing numerous festivals this Summer and the upcoming tour will once again see the band trekking from coast to coast. The dates include three multi-night stands in Portland, OR, Telluride, CO and Kalamazoo, MI, the latter being an annual tradition of performing in the band’s hometown on Thanksgiving weekend.
