The 2013 festival revisits a few old friends while inviting hundreds of gifted new ones. Whitewater Ramble (WWR) has announced their Fall 2013 Tour that will take the band through Montana, Wyoming, Washington, Oregon, Colorado, Illinois, Michigan, Wisconsin and Ohio. The band has announced several pairings and co-bills for the tour including a run with Tea Leaf Green and shows with The Ragbirds.Whitewater Ramble is currently on tour behind their sophomore release Roots & Groove which was produced by Tim Carbone of Railroad Earth.

Monterey’s inaugural First City Festival came and went this weekend in a flurry of sunshine, carnival rides, and nonstop music (accompanied by some seriously impressive light shows). With a solid lineup of newer and established indie bands and a prime location between Los Angeles and San Francisco, chances are this won’t be the last year for First City.

The U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) estimates that about 1 in 88 children has been identified with an autism spectrum disorder (ASD), affecting over two million people around the country and tens of millions worldwide; a ten-fold increase in prevalence in 40 years. Research suggests that the increase is only partly explained by improved diagnosis and awareness.

The psychedelic groove-rock 6-piece Sol Cat are kicking off the Fall announcing their latest EP Welcome to Cowabunga to be released on October 1st This EP is a follow-up to the band's self-titled LP, which released earlier this year and debuted at #147 on the CMJ Charts.
