The Kerrville Folk Festival Foundation is excited to announce the return of Welcome Home Fest, a beloved celebration of music and community. The first volume of "The National Park Album" launches August 20th, 2024, featuring an extraordinary collection of original songs by legendary artists Ry Cooder, Animal Collective, and Rising Appalachia. This ambitious project, spearheaded by writer Fredrik Colting, aims to create a unique musical tribute for each of America's national parks, celebrating the natural beauty and shared experiences they inspire.

The Specialty Equipment Market Association (SEMA), producers of the SEMA Show, the major trade-only automotive aftermarket event held annually in Las Vegas, has announced the return of SEMA Fest for Friday, November 8. For its second turn, the event is coming back as a one-day experience merging the Show’s high-energy automotive atmosphere with musical headliners Cage The Elephant and Sublime, with Fitz And The Tantrums and Petey. Tickets go on sale this Friday, July 19 at 10 am PT via semafest.com.

Elvin Bishop, Alligator Records recording artist and Rock And Roll Hall Of Famer, recently joined GRAMMY Award-winning band Los Lobos to create a new version of Bishop's politically-charged song, What The Hell Is Going On?. The song, a concert staple for Bishop that decries political extremism, was released in a previous version on the 2020 GRAMMY-nominated Alligator Records album 100 Years Of Blues, by Bishop and his friend, blues icon Charlie Musselwhite. The new version was recorded in June at Los Lobos' East L.A. studio.
