Three years after its original release on compact disc and streaming services, Smithsonian Folkways is announcing a special DOUBLE VINYL LP SET of the International Bluegrass Music Association's (IBMA) Album of the Year (2021), Industrial Strength Bluegrass. This all-star project set, which tells the story of bluegrass' transformation from a music to a movement carried north by Appalachians seeking a better life in the booming post-WWII factories of Southwest Ohio, will be released May 3rd.

Fans will soon have a chance to step back in time to the electrifying era of the '80s with a music tour that promises a nostalgic journey of iconic sounds and unforgettable melodies.   

Dierks Bentley today premieres the music video for his spirited cover of Tom Petty’s “American Girl” with CMT. The video for the lead single from Big Machine Records’ forthcoming tribute album, PETTY COUNTRY: A Country Music Celebration of Tom Petty, opens with Bentley strapping on Petty’s own signature Rickenbacker guitar that was flownin from his archives in California for the shoot.

Drummer/producer/rapper Kassa Overall announces his Live At Third Man Records LP, recorded direct-to-acetate at Third Man Records Nashville’s Blue Room venue on May 3, 2022. The album, which is comprised of compositions from his first two albums, Go Get Ice Cream and Listen to Jazz and I Think I’m Good, will be available on both vinyl and streaming services on April 19, 2024.

“I guess the way that your love makes me feel/Must mean I’m really addicted,” sings OZZY OSBOURNE on “Crack Cocaine,” the newly released track out today (March 21) from BILLY MORRISON’s new solo album THE MORRISON PROJECT that’s due April 19 via The Label Group’s partnership with TLG|ZOID through Virgin Music Group. This seismic collaboration also features STEVE STEVENS on guitar and was co-written by MORRISON, OSBOURNE, and STEVENS who all appear in the video with PARIS JACKSON playing the glamorous/romantic interest, with cameos from visual artist RISK and actor JEFF HILLIARD.

The Broadberry in Richmond, VA hosted Spafford on Wednesday night for a stellar opener to the 2024 Spring Tour.  The first set was full of high energy jams, highlighted by a twenty-seven minute version of "Broken Wing," an original song recently released on the LP Simple Mysteries (2022).  Guitarist and vocalist Brian Moss guides this high energy song to the next level with driving solos and euphoric peaks.
