Molly Tuttle, already a four-time International Bluegrass Music Association (IBMA) Award–winner, is nominated in five categories for the 2022 IBMAs: Entertainer of the Year, Album of the Year (Crooked Tree), Female Vocalist of the Year, Guitar Player of the Year and Instrumental Group of the Year (Molly Tuttle & Golden Highway). The ceremony will be held Thursday, September 29 at Raleigh’s Duke Energy Center for the Performing Arts.

Tonight, Tedeschi Trucks Band — the GRAMMY-winning 12-piece rock and soul group headed by Derek Trucks and Susan Tedeschi — will premiere I Am The Moon: Episode III. The Fall, the third record in their monumental four-album project, I Am The Moon.

In Flower, In Song is the debut album from Trio Xolo, an improvising group composed of Mexican-American bassist Zachary Swanson, Baltimore-based saxophonist Derrick Michaels, and Lithuanian percussionist Dalius Naujo. With a telepathic ear toward musical interplay, Trio Xolo performs free-flowing stream of consciousness improvisations. The result is true, in the moment composition. The trio moves together dynamically as their voices simultaneously overlap and converge into one.

 Tinged in melancholy, but teetering towards hope, Horseshoes’ Desert is a collection of thoughtful reflections from singer-songwriter, Austin Greaves. Utilizing folk-style arrangements, the Washington D.C.-based artist encapsulates his thoughts on everything from grief and substance abuse to the complications which come with falling in love. “The album is about loss and new beginnings,” he explains.
