Hot Buttered Rum has been busy recording three 6-song EPs, each focusing on a part of music that Hot Buttered Rum loves and is inspired by, and each with a different producer. The first EP (The Kite & the Key: Part 1) was recorded with Railroad Earth’s Tim Carbone and was released late 2015. The second will be a collection of Stanley Brothers old school bluegrass standards.

Bonnaroo today unveiled its 2016 lineup with a special feature on TBS’ Conan. The world renowned four-day multi-stage camping festival, celebrating “15 Years of Magic,” will take place June 9 – 12, at Great Stage Park, the spectacular 700-acre farm and event space located just 60 miles south of Nashville in Manchester, TN.

Philadelphia Americana ensemble Mason Porter debut a new single based on the Edgar Allen Poe short story “The Tell-Tale Heart”. The song was released today in celebration of Poe’s birthday. In their re-telling of this classic tale the band combines a dark, aggressive rhythm section with dramatic layers of strings to great effect and intensity. The track was produced by Brian McTear (Sharon Van Etten, The War On Drugs) at Miner Street Recordings in Philadelphia.
