Acclaimed American rock band Blackberry Smoke will release a new compilation album, Rattle, Ramble & Roll: The Best of Blackberry Smoke – Volume One, on November 14 via their label, 3 Legged Records. Pre-order/pre-save HERE.
The record spans the band’s extensive and beloved catalog, featuring fan-favorites such as “Waiting For The Thunder,” “Good One Comin’ On,” “Sleeping Dogs,” “The Whippoorwill,” and “One Horse Town,” as well as two brand-new, never-before-heard tracks: “We Got Company” and “Southern Child (Live).”
Reflecting on the project, lead singer Charlie Starr shares:
“Rattle, Ramble and Roll: The Best of Blackberry Smoke - Volume 1 is a collection of material that has been the heartbeat of our journey. We put together a representation of songs that captures a small part of what Blackberry Smoke is. Next year marks our 25th anniversary as a band, and it just feels right to celebrate by looking back at where we’ve been. We want to honor our brother Brit and the music and memories we made with him along with the legacy he left. From the bottom of our hearts, thank you for riding along with us all these years. We couldn’t have done a single mile without you. Here’s to the past, the present, and the road ahead.”
Known for their electrifying live shows, Blackberry Smoke will perform these songs throughout their extensive fall tour, which includes stops at Memphis’ Soundstage at Graceland, Birmingham’s Avondale Brewing Company, Wilmington’s Greenfield Lake Amphitheater, San Antonio’s Stable Hall, Baton Rouge’s River Center Theatre, Fort Worth’s Billy Bob’s Texas, and Jacksonville’s Florida Theatre, among many others.
The band will close the year with their inaugural High Tide Getaway Festival in Cancun, Mexico, December 6–10. In addition to multiple sets from Blackberry Smoke, the all-inclusive event will feature performances by Little Feat, JJ Grey & Mofro, 49 Winchester, The Band of Heathens, Elizabeth Cook, and more. Full details are available at www.blackberrysmoke.com/tour.
Since forming in 2001, Blackberry Smoke has built a passionate community of fans and achieved historic milestones, including becoming the first independent artist/band to reach #1 on Billboard’s Top Country Albums chart. They are also among a select group of artists—alongside Chris Stapleton, Sturgill Simpson, Tyler Childers, Willie Nelson, Beyoncé, and Kacey Musgraves—to top both the Billboard Country Albums and Americana/Folk Albums charts.
The band has released eight studio albums, most recently 2024’s Be Right Here, produced by Grammy Award-winner Dave Cobb (Chris Stapleton, Jason Isbell). The record debuted at #1 across the Current Country Albums, Americana/Folk Albums, and Current Rock Albums charts. Premier Guitar praised: “Blackberry Smoke is what happens when real musicians tell authentic stories through great songs.” Forbes declared their music “a unique blend of hard rock, southern rock, country, blues, and masterful songwriting,” while Relix added: “Be Right Here is what Blackberry Smoke has been heading toward all along.”
In addition to their music, Blackberry Smoke is deeply committed to charitable work. They established the Brit Turner Family Fund, a nonprofit supporting national foundations dedicated to curing children’s cancer. To date, the band has raised over $2 million for children’s cancer research through meet-and-greets, charity motorcycle rides, memorabilia donations, and more. This summer, Blackberry Smoke donated over $100,000 to CURE Childhood Cancer and the Brit Turner Family Fund in honor of their late drummer’s legacy.
