Sneezy, Chicago’s beloved funk-soul disruptors, today drop “Crazy Amazing Good Things,” a riotous anthem that turns life’s messy magic into a dancefloor revolution. The single—a frenetic mix of blues harp, rapid-fire rhymes, and sax-stoked grooves—previews their forthcoming EP Feed The Funk, set for release June 6.
LISTEN | Sneezy - “Crazy Amazing Good Things”
From its opening wail of Brett O’Connor’s harmonica, the track catapults listeners into Sneezy’s anarchic world: Austin Lutter’s guitar licks spar with Destiny Pivonka’s molten sax lines, while Tom “Chops” Hannum and Austin Koziol lock into a tight rhythm section. Lyrics ricochet between muffin cravings, van-life chaos, and a cascading “thank you” chorus that feels less like a song and more like a basement party manifesto. It’s a love letter to Chicago’s musical DNA—equal parts blues tradition, hip-hop swagger, and funk’s unshakable bounce.
“Our last two singles, ‘Lemonade Stand’ and ‘We Movin’ Up,’ were on the more serious and introspective side. So, we wanted to showcase the fun we have on stage and in the studio, and we really think that comes across with ‘Crazy Amazing.’ It’s loud, funky, and fun, and we’re stoked for fans to crank it up and bring that energy to their own living room,” said Austin Lutter.
The single also serves as a compelling showcase for Sneezy’s forthcoming album, Feed The Funk, an 11-track odyssey set to release on June 6th. Produced by Grammy-nominated Josh Blake at the legendary Echo Mountain Studios in Asheville, NC, the album promises to be a soundscape full of funk-fueled ingenuity, crossing boundaries while staying rooted in collaboration and community. If “Lemonade Stand” is any indication, Feed The Funk will be as much a celebration of Sneezy’s evolution as it is a testament to their raw, collective groove.

Behind the infectious rhythms and soul-lifting melodies, Feed The Funk reflects the band’s collaborative approach, born from years of playing together as a tight-knit family of musicians. Having grown from basement jam sessions in Chicagoland to coveted festival spots, Sneezy has cultivated a genre-blurring sound that embraces elements of funk, hip-hop, blues, and beyond. For long-time fans, the new album feels like home. For newcomers, it’s an open invitation to join the party.
