Continuing a heavy year of touring and support of their latest album Mustard n’Onions on Artistry Music/Mack Avenue Music Group, Ghost-Note has announced a new batch of 2025 U.S. tour dates extending through the end of the year. Led by Snarky Puppy's multi-GRAMMY-winning duo Robert "Sput" Searight and Nate Werth, the band returns to stages across North America this summer, fall, and winter. Tickets are available at ghost-note-official.com.
Mustard n’Onions, their third studio album, captures the band in full command of its sound. The record features standout tracks like “JB’s Out! (Do It Babay)” with lead vocals from MacKenzie, the MonoNeon co-write “Bad Knees,” and “Nard’s Right,” which includes one of Bernard Wright’s final recorded performances. It’s a tightly constructed, groove-heavy record that showcases the band’s signature blend of technical precision and raw soul.
Unlike 2018’s Swagism, where the lineup was still coalescing, Mustard n’Onions reflects a fully formed ensemble. “We didn’t have a sound; we didn’t know what we were gonna sound like,” Sput recalls of those earlier sessions. This time, the camaraderie is palpable. Nearly every member contributed as a writer, and the result is a record shaped collectively around all of the unique voices of the full lineup.
The band is wrapping up its current leg of tour with landmark festival appearances at Montreal Jazz Festival, North Sea Jazz Festival, BRIC Celebrate Brooklyn!, and more. The tour resumes stateside with shows at Songbyrd Music House in Washington, DC (August 5), San Jose Jazz Summer Fest (August 8), and North Omaha Music & Arts Fest (August 9).
Kicking off the round of newly announced shows is a pair of dates at the soon-to-be-open Blue Note Los Angeles in early November. The band continues their west coast jaunt with another pair of shows at Winston's Beach Club in San Diego and at Pappy & Harriet's in Pioneertown. December brings a full run through the Northeast and Midwest, including dates at Brooklyn Bowl, The Sinclair in Cambridge, Ardmore Music Hall, and a two-night stand at Garcia’s in Chicago. Stops in Detroit, Cleveland, Pittsburgh, Minneapolis, and more round out the year.
Ghost-Note’s live show remains one of their most vital offerings. Ten years in, the group is still pushing boundaries, still growing, and still unapologetically funky.
