The always-festive GLIDE Annual Holiday Jam: Show Up & Show Out returns to The Warfield on Thursday, November 13, marking 40 years of music, love, and community. This beloved San Francisco tradition blends powerhouse performances with deep-rooted compassion, raising vital funds for GLIDE’s mission of radical inclusion, unconditional love, and social justice.

This milestone celebration features legendary R&B crooner El DeBarge, whose timeless voice and hits like “All This Love” and “Rhythm of the Night” have defined an era. The lineup also includes Ruby Ibarra, the breakout hip-hop artist and spoken word phenom fresh off winning NPR’s 2025 Tiny Desk Contest and completing a sold-out national tour. Additional performers include Dominique Hammons, the dynamic contemporary jazz violinist, and rising jazz/funk artist Miles Turk with Follow the Music, alongside the GLIDE Ensemble and The Change Band led by Zoe Ellis, with more special guests to be announced.

Hosted by Priya David Clemens and featuring a spirited fundraising moment led by Liam Mayclem, the evening promises a soul-stirring celebration of hope and community. Guests can expect an unforgettable night of live music, dining, and connection — all supporting GLIDE’s programs for individuals and families experiencing poverty, homelessness, and systemic inequity.

“This 40th GLIDE Holiday Jam carries the spirit of our founders, Reverend Cecil Williams and Janice Mirikitani, whose passions for live music and commitment to justice continue to guide us,” said Dr. Gina Fromer, GLIDE President & CEO. “Jan and Cecil believed music could lift hearts, break down barriers, and unite us in spirit and action. On this special night, we honor that legacy with inspirational performances and a celebration of the radical inclusion that defines GLIDE.”

About the Artists

El DeBarge:
A legend whose career spans over four decades, El DeBarge is celebrated for his unmistakable falsetto and chart-topping hits including “All This Love,” “Stay with Me,” “I Like It,” and “Rhythm of the Night.” His influence extends across generations, with his songs sampled by icons like Beyoncé, Tupac, and The Notorious B.I.G. In recent years, El has collaborated with artists such as PJ Morton and The Isley Brothers, continuing to inspire through his artistry and soulful voice.

Ruby Ibarra:
Rapper, spoken word artist, and director Ruby Ibarra has earned global acclaim for her lyricism and activism. A Bay Area native and co-founder of the Pinays Rising Scholarship and Bolo Music Group, Ruby has been featured in Rolling Stone, NPR, Vogue Philippines, The New York Times, and The Today Show. She contributed songs to FOX’s The Cleaning Lady and video games NBA 2K23 and NBA 2K24. Her latest single “Bakunawa,” which won NPR’s 2025 Tiny Desk Contest, precedes her forthcoming sophomore album.
