Wreckless Strangers Announce Spring & Summer Bay Area Shows

Article Contributed by Denise Lamott PR | Published on Friday, May 9, 2025

Wreckless Strangers are thrilled to announce a series of Bay Area performances this spring and summer. The run kicks off on May 11 with a set on the Sweetwater Stage at the Mill Valley Music Festival, where they’ll share the lineup with Gary Clark Jr., Nile Rodgers & CHIC, and more. On May 31, the band brings their signature “Bay Area Gumbo” sound to HopMonk Sebastopol, followed by appearances at some of the Bay Area’s most popular festivals, including the Novato Art, Wine & Music Festival; Petaluma Music Festival, and more.

Wreckless Strangers have been making waves with recent milestones, including an artist spotlight at the prestigious NAMM music trade show, the release of their critically acclaimed EP Blue Sky Fantasy, and a spot on Music Connection Magazine’s Hot 100 for 2024. Currently, Wreckless Strangers are back in the studio, working on their forthcoming new album.

Wreckless Strangers is a collective of friends and musicians carrying the torch for San Francisco’s grand rock ‘n’ roll tradition. Their unique stew of Bay Area Gumbo melds the contemporary blues stylings of Bonnie Raitt and Boz Scaggs; the songwriting sensibilities of Sons of Champlin and Fleetwood Mac; the swashbuckling Americana of the Lost Planet Airmen and Peter Rowan; and the funk of Sly Stone and Tower of Power with a dash of Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane for flavor and unpredictability. With soaring vocal harmonies and burning instrumental improvisation, framed in concise and poignant original songwriting, Wreckless Strangers seek to honor and carry forth the brand of free-spirited musical fun and adventure that defines the Bay Area.

The band features Amber Morris on lead vocals; David Noble on lead guitar, lead vocals; Joshua Zucker on bass, vocals; Mick Hellman on drums, vocals; Rob Anderson on guitar, vocals; and special guest keyboardists. Collectively, members of Wreckless Strangers have worked with Miley Cyrus, Peter Rowan, Highway Wolf, Ismay, Boz Scaggs, Fabulous Thunderbirds, Olivia Wolf, Laurie Lewis, and more! Their latest EP, “Blue Sky Fantasy,” was produced by four-time Grammy award-winning engineer/producer Dave Way, who has worked with renowned artists including Aretha Franklin, Tracy Chapman, Prince, Stevie Wonder, Michael Jackson, Sheryl Crow, and many more. Blue Sky Fantasy is a sonic adventure that showcases the band’s evolution with a cohesive blend of tracks that highlight their range and artistic growth.
