On Friday, May 30, 2025, the Festgarten at Wibby Brewing will come alive as the Rocky Mountain Grateful Dead Revue (RMGDR) honors two landmark achievements: Jake Wolf’s 50th birthday and two decades of RMGDR bringing the Grateful Dead’s music to Colorado. This gathering will be more than a concert—it’s a love letter to community, a celebration of serendipitous connections, and a testament to the enduring spirit of Deadhead culture.
Doors open at 4:20 PM, and the music begins at 6 PM in the open‑air Festgarten pavilion at Wibby Brewing (2920 Robinson Road, Longmont). Audiences can expect a rotating lineup of over 20 special guests, led by Jay Lane of Dead & Company. Confirmed collaborators include Joe Weisiger (Shakedown Street), Dana Giove (Dead Floyd), Paul Murin (DeadPhish Orchestra), original Shakedown Street founders Ted Galloway and Dave Recker, plus current lineup stalwart Edwin Hurwitz. Further guests feature Sean Eckels (Andy Frasco & The UN), Kory Montgomery (Blues Brothers Revue), Andrew McConathy (Drunken Hearts), Trevor Jones (Frogs Gone Fishin’), Pete Wall (The Motet), Paul Trunko (One Kind Favor), Greg Gamet (Runaway Grooms), Brian Adams (Great American Taxi, DeadPhish Orchestra), and The Sweet Lillies’ Becca Bisque & Julie Gussaroff. Additional sit‑ins from Scott Rednor, Patrick Latella, Jess Goodkin, Fleeb, Scooter Barnes, and more will be announced as the date nears.
Since its inception in 2005, RMGDR has not only honored the Dead’s songbook but has also embodied the ethos of community that defined the original gatherings of the ’60s. “We believe music is our medium, but gathering is our message,” says founder Michael “Mickey” Haynes. “This evening will reflect on losses endured, but more importantly, on the resilience and unity that keep Deadhead spirit thriving in Colorado.”
Jake Wolf’s 50th birthday celebration will serve as a vivid reminder that true gathering places are not defined by geography but by shared passion. As the revue approaches its 20th anniversary, this event promises improvisational magic, surprise collaborations, and the heartfelt energy that only a Grateful Dead tribute of this scale can deliver.
Tickets are on sale now at events.sellout.io/Rmgdr-Jake50-Jay-Lane-Wibby and will be available at the door (pending availability). Join RMGDR on May 30th for a living, breathing celebration of community, collaboration, and the timeless music of the Grateful Dead.
