Richard Ashcroft is set to release the new album Acoustic Hymns Vol. 1 on October 29th via RPA / BMG. The album features twelve newly recorded acoustic versions of classic songs from his back catalogue spanning both his solo career and his time with The Verve.

Three generations of Punk Rock music fans gathered at Vina Robles Amphitheater on August 18th, many dressed in full punk regalia, for a trio of crowd-pleasing performances. The three bands appearing represented three different eras of the punk genre and were all met with an enthusiastic response from the multigenerational crowd.

Continuing its long-standing tradition of giving back to the communities which support live events, Disco Donnie Presents (DDP) announced a $25,000 donation to Americares for Hurricane Ida Relief. The sentiment behind the donation is dear to DDP, as New Orleans is Disco Donnie’s hometown and where he got his start as the rave king in the early 1990s.

From the rolling prairies of Saskatchewan to the Open Road of a storied career, multi-award-winning, chart-topping, and multi-platinum-selling guitarist Colin James releases his 20th studio album on November 5th via Stony Plain Records. Open Road was mixed at the iconic Abbey Road Studios in London.

Indie Jam Band Lucid Phase has released their new bluegrass single “People In My Life” featuring established violinist, Nora Germain. It follows their previous single, “Wind Is Gone”, released in July and comes ahead of their upcoming second studio album, Orchid Thief, due to release later this Fall.

In response to the catastrophic flooding that hit Waverly, Tenn., producer Jeremy Vaughn, in conjunction with the United Way of Humphreys County, has organized Waverly Strong: A Concert for Disaster Relief. The concert will be held on Tuesday, September 7 at 7 p.m. CT at City Winery Nashville and will also be live-streamed by Mandolin Productions.

Up and coming band High & Rising announces their full length debut Album - Howl - a high energy cross between folk americana, jam and bluegrass music (a new genre called “Groovy Grass” - as coined by the band), scheduled for release on September 24, 2021.  Their record release party for Howl will be on October, 23rd - details to be announced at a later date.

Taking cues from 60s and 70s musical influences such as John Prine, Leonard Cohen, Warren Zevon, Todd Snider, Willie Nelson, and even Prince, Toledo native Ben Stalets addresses the thorns in his side on new record, Everybody’s Laughing, both personal and worldly. The songs were not written with an overarching theme in mind, but when it came time for the album art concept, it was the “cult leader” vibe that gave him a sense of what the underlying vision is:

Multi-GRAMMY nominated arranger/composer Pete McGuinness brings his NYC big band back to the stage of Manhattan’s Birdland, Jazz Club featuring several new works, as well as his arrangements from the band’s three CDs recorded since 2006.
