FOX THEATRE PERFORMANCES
Quickly becoming one of the most anticipated music festivals in the nation, The Forecastle Festival is back for another big year with headlining acts The Avett Brothers, Alabama Shakes, and Death Cab for Cutie down on the waterfront in Louisville, Kentucky on July 15-17. Other promising performances include Ryan Adams, Ben Harper and the Innocent Criminals, Grouplove, The Arcs, Gary Clark Jr., and Dr. Dog. The festival will also feature several late night shows including 23 String Band and RJD2 with John Dose.
Dr. Dog has emerged from The Psychedelic Swamp in the San Francisco Bay Area, and hit the road hard.
Appearing at The Catalyst in Santa Cruz, CA on Sunday January 31 for the third stop on a North American tour that runs through late March, Dr. Dog is giving their freshman recording effort new life.
It's the end of summer. Labor Day weekend – arguably one of the best times of the year to be a Chicago resident. The de facto end to summer is a time that Chicagoans tend to embrace, as a sort of reminder that we do have a bit of time before the tundra-like conditions of winder arrive mere months (or, gulp, weeks) from now. Chicago Bluegrass & Blues Festival (CBB) is ready to celebrate its 5th birthday! The wintertime roots fest returns with 17 shows format spanning three weeks in January and February!CBB V is anchored in eight shows over three weeks at the newly-minted Concord Music Hall, the West Loop’s City Winery, and Evanston’s SPACE.
Monterey’s inaugural First City Festival came and went this weekend in a flurry of sunshine, carnival rides, and nonstop music (accompanied by some seriously impressive light shows). With a solid lineup of newer and established indie bands and a prime location between Los Angeles and San Francisco, chances are this won’t be the last year for First City.

The KahBang music | art | film Festival is proud to release the full 2013 music line up. Headlining the Festival this year is rock band Dr. Dog and Odd Future group member, hip-hop artist Earl Sweatshirt. New additions include St. Lucia, Gentleman Hall, Vacationer, X Ambassadors, Caro Khan, My Pet Dragon, Spencer Albee, and North of Nashville.
