Fishbone
On Monday, June 6, Bernie Sanders reached out to California voters in San Francisco with a message urging action in the California primary election the following day. Supporting this message was a fired-up and artistic mixture of politicians, social activists and the musical guests including Dave Matthews and Oakland, CA based Fantastic Negrito.
The 18th annual Gathering of the Vibes announces their initial line-up, keeping their track record – for nearly two decades as the premier music, arts and camping festival in the Northeast.
Legendary ska-punk-funk rockers FISHBONE will be heading out again for The World's Most Powerful Adhesive Tour starting August 24 with 30+ cities across the US including Hermosa Beach, Portland, Seattle, Detroit, Atlanta, Houston, Dallas, Tempe, Las Vegas and many more stops; then landing back in Southern Cali to finish their tour at Yost Theater in Santa Ana, with special guests to C-Money & The Players (members of Slightly Stoopid).
When Fishbone first emerged from California, no other band sounded or looked like them, and the weight of their innovative and iconic presence is still being felt decades later. Coinciding with the group’s 25th anniversary, filmmakers Lev Anderson & Chris Metzler have directed a compelling new documentary, narrated by Laurence Fishburne. Everyday Sunshine: The Story of Fishbone is both a fascinating and brutally honest look at the band’s history for longtime fans, as well as a perfect entry point for newcomers.
On February 8th hyperactive punk/funk/ska legends Fishbone will embark on a 25 date cross-country tour including stops at the Aggie Theater in Fort Collins (Feb 10) and Cervantes Masterpiece Ballroom in Denver (Feb 11).
