For the droves of fans who block off dates months in advance, repeatedly caravan with friends to North Plains, Oregon, and grow their festival families year after year, Northwest String Summit continues to add world-class entertainment to their already stacked lineup for their 19th annual event.

In true migratory bird fashion, Connecticut-based indie-groove band Goose made their second tropical appearance this winter, playing three sets on “Rock Legends Cruise” this weekend. Taking place aboard Royal Caribbean’s “Independence of the Seas,” the five-day floating festival featured performances by musical legends of the past six decades, including Roger Daltrey (The Who), Nancy Wilson (Heart), Robby Kreiger (The Doors), Larkin Poe and Brandon “Taz” Niederauer.

Celebrating its 30th year in 2020, High Sierra Music Festival is continuing to add to its milestone-year party, returning to Quincy, CA, on July 2-5, 2020.

Baltimore-based social media company Phantasy Tour today officially unveiled their first series of live music trading cards. These high quality, collectible trading cards feature photos of top touring bands from various musical genres. The front of each card displays a photo of the musician or band and the back includes biographical information, fun facts, trivia questions and a foil stamp of authenticity. This event is a rare opportunity to see brother sister duo, Sean and Sara Watkins, as Watkins Family Hour, a project they started in 2002 in Los Angeles to try out some original songs and a few covers that wouldn’t work in Nickel Creek.

Fanatic would only begin to describe the enthusiasm with which devotees of Jam Band community staples Goose and Pigeons Playing Ping Pong brought to Los Angels’ historic Troubadour for the second and final night of their weekend residency. The line stretched the full block and around the corner an hour before Goose was set to take the stage.

A lively capacity crowd erupted as Goose kicked off their 2020 winter/spring tour with a high-octane rendition of their original “Drive,” followed by a seamless segue into Wes Montgomery classic “Switchin’.” Attendees maintained their focus throughout the first set, as colorful solos by Rich Mitarotonda (guitar, vocals) and Peter Anspach (guitar, keys, vocals) carried “Lead the Way” and “Elizabeth.” For many, the highlight of set one was the 13-minute rendition of the Bill Withers classic “Lovely Day,” followed by a rousing rendition of “Honeybee.,” debuted last month at Goosemas.
