Two Phish related charities – Phish’s own WaterWheel Foundation and The Mimi Fishman Foundation have teamed together once again with an on-line fundraiser with 100% of the proceeds helping victims of Hurricane Sandy.The organizations are now accepting bids on several Phish New Years ticket packages. The shows – which take place on 4 consecutive evenings at the end of December – sold out quickly. Ruf Records announces the signing of guitarist/singer Devon Allman and a February 12, 2013, release date for his debut solo album, Turquoise. Ruf Records is distributed in the U.S. by the Allegro Corporation. Turquoise was produced and mixed by multi-Grammy winner Jim Gaines and recorded at his Bessie Blue Studios in Stantonville, Tennessee, as well as at Ardent Studios in Memphis.

Acclaimed singer/songwriter Josh Rouse will release The Happiness Waltz on March 19 through Yep Roc Records. Sonically, The Happiness Waltz takes a trip back into Rouse’s early-2000’s period, a time when so many of his longtime fans really came on board. A number of the new tracks could easily find a home on the AM radio of the late 1970’s, nestled between some of the biggest songs of the day.
