Jethro Tull

Martin Barre is returning to North America to perform more shows this April.  Look for concerts in New Jersey, Maryland, New York, Connecticut, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and Massachusetts. More dates this fall in September and October.  Some of them are confirmed below.

Ian Anderson celebrates the life and times of the English Agricultural inventor, Jethro Tull, with the announcement of a new series of concert tours beginning September 2015.

The shows tell the story of the original Jethro Tull's life, reimagined as if in the near future and illustrated with Anderson's best-known songs from the rock band Jethro Tull repertoire.

The performance is in a quasi-operatic structure with virtual guests on video and some  additional newly-written songs to round off the elements of the story.

To coincide with Ian Anderson's BEST OF JETHRO TULL & HOMO ERRATICUS North American tour (commencing September 12th), Kscope is pleased to announce a new tour edition of Ian's acclaimed new studio album, HOMO ERRATICUS. This 2 disc (CD DVD) package features the exclusive videos to each album track, as seen at the shows, set to hi resolution 24 bit stereo audio. The DVD features a live performance of album favorite "Enter the Uninvited" and new interview footage with Ian discussing the live visuals.

In 1972 Jethro Tull were riding high on the crest of a popularity wave, they sold out huge arenas on the back of their critically acclaimed fifth album Thick As A Brick. The question was:  “How do you follow a concept album comprising a single 44-minute piece of music?” The answer was: “With a double album of separate songs of course.”

Legendary prog pioneer Ian Anderson has released a new studio album Homo Erraticus today,  April 15 on Ian's own Calliandra Records, distributed by Kscope.

How lucky the creators of Aqualung; Ian Anderson, and Martin Barre; came halfway across the world to a 65 Million year old red stone amphitheater in Colorado under a cool early June evening sky, to recreate one of the seminal rock albums in history.

The Grateful Web was fortunate enough to have a chance to speak to Ian Anderson, singer and songwriter for the legendary band, Jethro Tull. We're incredibly flattered Ian spent some of his time with us as he prepares for a summer tour on the east coast of the United States.
