After two impressive rounds of artist announcements featuring some of the biggest names in reggae, hip hop, and roots music, the California Roots Music and Arts Festival is proud to announce its third and final wave of artists.
Since their formation, The Green has been a vocal supporter of Hawaiian rights and a model of what it means to be a young, modern Hawaiian. Songs like “Never,” “That’s The Way,” and “Even Before,” among many others, have become rallying cries for Hawaiian youths. Their new single “My Hawai'i,” released December 20 (Easy Star Records), is a new anthem for the Hawaiian nation, featuring guest appearances by fellow multiple-time winners of Na Hoku Hanohano Awards Sean Na'auao, Kaumakaiwa, and Kumu Hina.

LPT, the fast-rising 10-piece orchestra out of Jacksonville, FL, are quickly becoming the ambassadors of Salsa and Afro-Cuban music in the Southeast. Their high energy and thought-provoking take on Salsa Dura (Hard Salsa) is captured on their upcoming debut album Sin Parar, due out in January 2020. Their new single “Sin Parar,” which is also the title track is set for release on November 29th.

The Expanders are back with a new single, only their second original song released since their groundbreaking Hustling Culture album from 2015. “Sweet and Slow,” featuring Kyle McDonald of Slightly Stoopid, comes out on November 22nd on Easy Star Records. The California Roots Music and Arts Festival has had much to celebrate in 2019 with a successful ten year event, launching their own radio show “Cali Roots Radio” on SiriusXM’s “The Joint,” and through a new strategic partnership with Reggae Rise Up. Cali Roots is thrilled to announce its first round of artists for their 11th annual festival held at the Monterey County Fair and Event Center from May 22-24, 2020. Pre-sale starts Monday, October 28 from 10am to 10pm PST. Public on-sale will be Tuesday, October 29 at 10am PST.
