The 10th annual California Roots Music and Arts Festival will take place at the historic Monterey County Fair and Event Center from May 24-26, 2019.  The top tier national festival is the premier gathering for the progressive U.S. Reggae and roots music movement and culture, bringing the scene together over Memorial Day weekend in beautiful Monterey, CA.

The California Roots Music and Arts Festival is thrilled to announce their “Forever Redwoods Contest” launching today, August 15, 2018. The contest will run forone-month and the grand prize winners will receive two (2) Redwood Passes for life! The Redwood Passes are Cali Roots unique take on a VIP experience and was introduced in 2017 to much fanfare.

When you picture Miami you might imagine the hot white sand beaches, baller poolside events, set against a skyline of glass skyscrapers, or maybe it’s the inner city streets that flow to an unheard riddim, back dropped to vibrant color buildings, and kids just hanging out in the heavy humid air.  A unique city with a blend of Caribbean cultures meets beach town USA, a place where you can feel the island energy pulsing through the city. It is this melting pot of diversity where the genre bending group, ¡MayDay!

Brooklyn based band Underground System is embracing all that they are, and what they stand for, on their forthcoming album, WHAT ARE YOU. Due out September 7th on Soul Clap Records.
 

Liz Beebe is best known as the female powerhouse of the critically acclaimed band Dustbowl Revival. With an international touring schedule that spans over continents, and months on the road, Beebe found herself becoming an aunt in the midst of the madness. A desire to be present and contribute to the lives of her family and loved ones became what is her first lullaby album, Hush Now, Lullabies for Sleepy People.
 

Magic Bronson is the LA based duo consisting of Michael Nicastro and Matthew Lieberman. Their sound can only be described as a vibe that is truly Magic Bronson, as they will never write the same song twice. Drawing from a large well of influences but never latching onto one sound or style, they are constantly evolving. The two tend to spend a large majority of their time locked away in their studio, and are set to release a new EP this Fall on Handwritten Records.

GRAMMY Nominated artist Common Kings is back with a new single “One Day” out today on Mensch House Records. The band is hot on the heels of their hit single “Champion” featuring Kat Dahlia and continues to tour both nationally and internationally. Dirtwire, the genre bending, African ngoni and jawharp plucking, harmonica and trumpet blowing, electric guitar slinging, violin and banjo bowing, blues singing, Siberian ghostcatcher playing trio of cowboys from California are headed to Kazakhstan in the heart of Central Asia to play in the national world music festival “The Spirit of Astana,” July 6-8.
