Walther Productions and the All Good Music Festival are proud to become the largest event to pledge support to HeadCount by donating $.50 from every ticket sold to support the organization's "Cents for Sense" campaign.  The partnership serves to introduce this new campaign set to be a significant industry-wide program to fund HeadCount's voter registration efforts at over 1,000 concerts and festivals nationwide before the 2008 election.

The All Good Music Festival also includes performances from artists affiliated with HeadCount, including Phil Lesh & Friends, Gov't Mule, Michael Franti & Spearhead, Keller Williams & the WMD'S, Derek Trucks, Medeski, Martin & Wood, and Tea Leaf Green.  Additional artists confirmed at this year's All Good Festival include Widespread Panic, Railroad Earth, The Bridge, Hot Buttered Rum, RAQ, Bonerama, Pnuma Trio, The Wood Brothers, Bassnectar, Outformation, Telepath, deSol, Basshound and many more still to be announced.

Celebrating its 15th year, and its 10th year in Preston County, WV, the All Good Music Festival is proud to announce a fundraiser for the Masontown Volunteer Fire Department.  While the festival brings excitement and revenue, not to mention great music, to the county, the county in turn supports the thousands of fans with essential and life-protecting services. Now, All Good presents this benefit fundraiser in gratitude to the brave men and women who have served as unpaid first responders to any emergency.

The May 13 event will be held at the Purple Cow Lounge in Morgantown and features up and coming bands, Fletcher’s Grove from Charleston, and Morgantown-based group, The Greens. Not only are 100% of the ticket sales revenues raised going to the Fire Department, the All Good Festival will match the amount raised, dollar for dollar.

All Good Festival organizer Tim Walther notes “We appreciate the thankless efforts and support of the men and women of the Masontown Volunteer Fire Department throughout the years and are delighted to present this fundraiser to benefit what they do best. We hope that the money we raise will assist the MVFD in serving their community to the best of their ability.”

The festival is held at Marvin’s Mountaintop the weekend of July 14-17 and features over 40 bands performing over 40 hours of music with such national acts as Furthur featuring Phil Lesh & Bob Weir, Primus, moe., Umphrey’s McGee, John Butler Trio, STS9 and dozens more. The festival hosted a record breaking attendance in 2010, and the event is one of the highlights of West Virginia’s tourism industry by selling tickets in all 50 states as well as a half dozen other countries.

“We appreciate the patience and support that we have received from the residents of Masontown throughout the years, and we are glad that we can give something back that will benefit the community,” Tim Walther.

From bars to barn parties, Fletcher’s Grove has been making its way into the music scene ever since 2006.  With their eclectic roots, this band combines tight vocal harmonies with a soulful-jamming-jazz-influenced guitar duo, backed up by a slapping bass and a driving drum ensemble. The Greens play Rock-n-Roll as if Cream was from West Virginia but that’s not all.  With 10 years of versatility in song writing and live-performance, this band is growing on you. Come see West Virginia’s hottest up-and-coming bands while supporting Preston County’s hard-working heroes!

Tue, 11/22/2011 - 11:12 am

The 16th annual All Good Music Festival & Camp Out, July 19-22, 2012, is moving a little bit west to the historic Legend Valley.  For those who know your history or were a part of it, Legend Valley was formerly Buckeye Lake Music Center.

Located 30 minutes east of downtown Columbus, our new home in Thornville, Ohio was the site of some of the most memorable Grateful Dead shows ever plus historic shows by the Allman Brothers Band, Lollapalooza, AC/DC, numerous Hookahvilles and many more.

Parting is bittersweet.  We will always treasure our time at Marvin’s Mountaintop. But we had to take a hard look at the negative impact the West Virginia site had on you, our fans, who sometimes spent 4 to 6 hours covering that last five miles under close scrutiny from authorities.

We had to weigh the impact of our traffic and presence on the local population and local officials who never warmed up to the festival, its legion of loyal fans and our “style”.   In 2011 county officials went so far as to pass a crippling Mass Gathering Ordinance that directly targeted All Good and levied an outrageous tax on our event. We would much rather spend this money (your ticket money) on bands, safety and enhancements to your overall festival experience.

Legend Valley has a rich history of hosting similar events and Thornville is excited to have All Good roll into their town.  The community is better suited to host us and grateful for the business that we will bring to their rural location. For some of you in the east, the journey to All Good will be a longer drive, but with our entrance less than a mile off I-70, it may actually take you less time from your front door to your campsite.

For all of you, our new site means fast, unobstructed, wind-in-your-hair interstate travel, straight to the lot.

Grab your spot in the spacious camping pastures, and settle into the roomy, gently sloping amphitheater.  No climbing and plenty of room to groove.

We’ll have your favorite bands, no-overlapping sets, state-of-the-art sound and lights, tons of heavy equipment, bathrooms, and dragon merch, but it won’t be All Good until you get there!

YOU make this festival!  We can’t wait to see you again!

Peace and Music,

The All Good Family

After touring with The Bridge for over a decade, musician Kenny Liner started a Baltimore non-profit organization, called Believe in Music, as a way to give back to the city from which he came. Believe in Music’s mission is to promote self-expression and community awareness through music education. Working in underprivileged communities, the organization reaches out teaching music to dozens of students each day.

Liner has developed a relationship with Walther Productions, working to produce events while raising money for Believe in Music and awareness of its mission.  Together, they crafted the concept for the Believe in Music Stage at this year’s All Good Music Festival, a third performance area situated adjacent to the camping area. “I’m so thankful for All Good’s commitment to serving disadvantaged communities and their understanding of how vital it is for every student to have the opportunity to learn music, no matter where they come from” says Liner.

Up and coming acts will come together on the stage, interact closely with attendees and All Good Presents affiliates, and perform within a culture of community outreach. Additionally, the Believe in Music stage will feature workshops run by various main stage artists.  On behalf of each artist performing on the Believe in Music Stage, All Good Festival is making a donation directly benefitting the program.

Artists performing the Believe in Music Stage:

Big Something

ELM

B Side Shuffle

Drop Electric

Fletcher’s Grove

Grand Ole Ditch

Tabasco Bustelo

“We feel so grateful for the chance to not only perform at this amazing festival, but to have such a great opportunity to give back to the community that we live in” says Jon Brady of ELM.  Nick MacDaniels of Big Something says  “We are really excited and honored to be a part of it!”

Flying Dog Brewery today announces its partnership with the All Good Music Festival and Camp Out – July 9-11 in Summit Point, West Virginia – where the brewery is developing a new beer exclusively for the event. The festival-themed ‘All Good Ale’ promises to be perfect for the heat of summer with refreshing passion fruit and crisp hop notes.

Now in its 18th year, the All Good Music Festival and Camp Out features 32 bands with headliners including Primus, moe., CAKE, and Thievery Corporation. Fans looking to get the first taste of the All Good Ale can get in line at Flying Dog’s first Summer Sessions concert of the year, as well as at select music venues in the Baltimore and DC-metro areas leading up to the festival. The June 20 Flying Dog concert will feature Hurray for the Riff Raff's blend of Americana, folk, and bluesy soul and is being held at Mechanical River in Frederick, MD.

In addition to All Good Ale, Flying Dog will offer multiple styles of beer throughout the festival. “We view craft beer as an art form and encourage any opportunity to share our art with artistically-minded partners like All Good,” Flying Dog CMO Ben Savage said.

“We strive to enter partnerships with organizations that share our same values and commitment to the arts,” Savage said. “All Good is an established yet progressive force in our regional music scene and was a natural fit for us. We are excited that the festival has moved back so close to home.”

And since a one-of-a-kind beer deserves a one-of-a-kind experience, Flying Dog is also teaming up with Gibson Guitars to host VIP meet and greets throughout the All Good Festival weekend and a raffle for a Gibson Guitar.

Entry to win passes for the meet and greets, which will feature multiple artists and firkin tappings of All Good Ale, will be available online and for all ticket holders. Proceeds from the Gibson Guitar raffle will benefit the Believe in Music Foundation, and any festivalgoer who purchases a Flying Dog beer will be able to enter the raffle.

Tickets for Flying Dog’s Summer Sessions concert are $25 and available via FlyingDogTix.com. Tickets for the All Good Music Festival and Camp Out are on sale and available now at AllGoodFestival.com

It is hard to believe that nearly 20 years have passed since our company began. With many talented bands coming through the Washington D.C. and Baltimore area, Tim Walther and I (Junipa Contento-Süslü) took it upon ourselves to begin a promotion and production company to focus on and heighten the awareness of a relatively new and burgeoning genre of music. Our love for this scene plus hard work and dedication led us to produce club shows and ultimately camp-out music festivals showcasing a weekend of the hottest touring bands, with the flagship event being the All Good Music Festival & Campout commencing in 1997.

We felt it was important to create an annual destination where like-minded fans could share and experience in the fusion of music art and camping within a safe and supportive community. We wanted people to come away transformed, just as this rise of musical rhapsody had transformed us. From humble beginnings at Wilmer’s Park to the magic and life changing experiences of Marvin’s Mountaintop we are forever grateful for the opportunity to spearhead and cultivate All Good Festival with beautiful landscapes, ground-breaking artists, the best supporting crew in the industry and undoubtedly the most kind and avid fans.

With that said and with a heavy heart we are announcing today that we are retiring the All Good Music Festival and Campout. We want to thank each of you for your support of live music, your love for our community and for sharing and creating everlasting All Good memories. This is not an end to the musical journey we are on, but the turning of a page sparking a new course for presenting the music we love.

Please stay tuned for the unveiling of a two-day All Good Presents celebration of music, community and arts set to take place on July 9 and 10 at Merriweather Post Pavilion. Meanwhile check out the multitude of All Good Presents club shows, featuring established and emerging touring acts at your favorite venues such as; 9:30 Club, Rams Head Live, Gypsy Sally's, The 8x10, The Hamilton and more.

We look forward to seeing you at the next show.
Yours truly,
Junipa Contento-Süslü
