The Disco Biscuits announce the return of City Bisco to its original home at The Pavilion at The Mann Center for Performing Arts this July 9 and 10.

City Bisco features both The Disco Biscuits and Lotus for two nights, with interlocking DJ sets from Orchard Lounge on Friday and Luke the Knife Saturday.

“We’ve been lucky enough to have had a few opportunities over the last year to play shows to our hometown here in Philly - at Citizens Bank Park, the Fillmore and elsewhere - but none of them have had an in person audience. This is the first time we’ve been able to perform at home for a large audience in over a year,” said The Disco Biscuits’ Jon Barber.

“It’s exciting, and there’s something very classic about Lotus and Orchard Lounge being there with us. Our fans are constantly asking us to team up with them - it’s an old school lineup. It’s going to be a special weekend.”

The return to The Mann will mark the fourth official City Bisco, after residing in both Philadelphia and New York City throughout the years since its inception in 2012. Tickets go on sale Fri. June 4 at noon ET at Ticketmaster.com.

Celebrating its 25th Anniversary this year, The WaterWheel Foundation was created by Phish in 1997 to oversee the band’s various charitable activities. Fueled by the kindness of the Phish fan community, WaterWheel’s mission is to create positive change by supporting nonprofit organizations based in Phish’s home state of Vermont, especially those focused on cleaning up the Lake Champlain watershed, as well as nonprofits local to each community where Phish’s tour stops via WaterWheel’s Touring Division. WaterWheel chooses beneficiaries from a wide sphere of causes including those working to protect the environment, promote social justice, fight food insecurity, provide music education, register voters, and those that help women and children, the homeless and others in need. Thanks to the generosity of Phish fans, since its creation WaterWheel has donated over $3.7 million to 500+ nonprofits through its Touring Division, $2 million to organizations working to protect Lake Champlain, $2.5 million to local Vermont groups, and $1 million to 30+ beneficiaries through the Dinner And A Movie campaign.

After more than a decade, Skydog Gypsy, featuring The Disco Biscuits’ Allen Aucoin on drums, alongside Dean Tovey on guitar, Aaron Goldberg on bass, and Josh Becker on keys, is set to reunite on stage. The special reunion concert, marking their first performance together since 2012, will take place on March 2 at Aisle 5 in Atlanta to honor the memory of the late Edmund (Eddie) Pharo. Proceeds from the show, as well as sales from a limited edition commemorative poster, will support Pharo’s family.

The event starts at 8:00 PM with an opening set from turntablist GLYFIKS, who shares a musical connection with Aucoin through their collaboration in DrFameus. Matt Rand was a close friend of Pharo’s, and organized the event with help from his wife Kristen (Mastalski-Rand).

Rand commented on the significance of Skydog Gypsy in their community: "Skydog (Gypsy) wasn’t  just a band; it was a cornerstone of our scene, back long before Allen (Aucoin) joined The Biscuits. Eddie, myself and many others joining us on Mar. 2 started going to their shows in Athens, then eventually going on the road with them all the way out to Colorado. They hold a special place in our hearts, and I can’t think of a better way to honor Eddie’s memory.”

Skydog Gypsy coins their style ‘original, funkadelic rock band’ that’s not afraid to jam. The quartet originally hails from Columbus, but now claims home in Colorado, Georgia, and Alabama as the members have spread throughout the country.

Aisle 5 is located at 1123 Euclid Ave NE, Atlanta, GA. This event is all ages; tickets are available online at SeeTickets.us.
