Internationally acclaimed Jazz/R&B/Pop Saxophonist, Songwriter, Producer, and Performer, Eric Darius releases his newest album Unleashed, featured on Wonderland Magazine.

The American saxophonist, songwriter, producer, and performer shines in a vibrant new light as he reinvents himself through Unleashed, an expansive and ambitious genre-spanning album brimming with passion, purpose, soul and sweat, charisma and charm.

Unleashed is a long time coming for Eric Darius, and without a doubt his proudest work to date. He credits part of that achievement to the creative freedom he’s gained as an independent artist as Unleashed is Darius’ second album released through his own label, SagiDarius Music, following 2018’s hit album, Breakin’ Thru.

Darius’ signature saxophone tones can be heard loud, cool, and clear throughout Unleashed, alongside a smorgasbord of traditional and unconventional jazz instruments. Produced by GRAMMY Ò award-winning musician, Philip Lassiter (Prince, Kirk Franklin, Ariana Grande), this album features collaborations with Eric Roberson, Paul Jackson, Jr., Justin Lee Schultz, Mononeon, Metropole Orkest and many others as Unleashed seamlessly blurs the lines between Jazz, R&B, Hip-Hop, Afro, Funk & Pop!

For the first time in his career, Darius recorded the album live in studio with a full band, simultaneously capturing an organic, authentic sound while bottling up the magic and synergy the musicians shared recording Unleashed in real time. “I wanted to push myself out of my comfort zone on this project and truly unleash my full musical potential. This album is an honest reflection of myself and my growth both musically and personally over the past several years, and it really takes the listeners on a musical journey from start to finish!” Darius shares.

His second single from the album, “That’s My Jam” Feat. Justin Lee Schultz reached #5 on the Billboard Charts and #3 on the Mediabase Charts. “That’s My Jam” is an upbeat, feel good song capturing the exhilarating grooves and high energy of his legendary live shows. Darius wrote the song as an homage to one of his closest friends, Willie Payne, who recently passed. The song features 15-year-old prodigy, Justin Lee Shultz, and the duo soar on this action-packed summer anthem with a message of living life to the fullest!

Raised in a musical household in Tampa, Florida, Eric Darius has been making music for as long as he can remember. His Haitian father (a bass player) and Jamaican mother (a singer and piano player) instilled Caribbean influences and a passion for music on Eric and his siblings.

“At the end of the day I just want to uplift people with my music, and I want people to feel where I come from – feel my heart and soul from my music. My story is simple - hard work, passion, persistence, patience, perseverance and prayer,” Darius says.

With eight highly-acclaimed albums on his discography, Darius continues to rack up some impressive statistics: five No. 1 Hit Singles; 17 Top 10 Radio Hits on Billboard’s Contemporary Jazz Chart; 2004’s Debut Artist of the Year by Smooth Jazz News Magazine; 2015’s SESAC Top 10 Jazz Artist of the Year; 2017’s Best Jazz, Saxophonist, Composer, Producer & Musician of the Year Award at the 1st Annual Citril Starz Awards; and most recently, he was awarded the Rehoboth Beach Jazz Festival Artist of the Year for 2022, which Darius will receive in October when he headlines the 2022 festival.

In every aspect of this album, Eric Darius is breaking the mold. Unleashed is authentic, fresh, and energetic, and Darius invites the world to join in his unbridled, unfiltered musical celebration.

In support of his new album, Eric’s Unleashed World Tour continues throughout the rest of 2022.

John Oates (of the iconic pop-rock duo Daryl Hall & John Oates) is thrilled to release his new single “Pushin’ A Rock” that is out now.

Co-written with Grammy winning producer /writer Nathan Paul Chapman, Oates says, " Pushin' A Rock " is a rallying cry to everyone who strives to overcome life's struggles and challenges. It's a universal theme and an important message for our time riding on a cool groove.”

Speaking to the meaning of “Pushin' A Rock,”  John has teamed up with Movember, the leading international men’s health charity, ahead of the nonprofit’s annual fall campaign where men grow mustaches to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues focusing on mental health, suicide prevention, and testicular and prostate cancer.

Oates is opening up about his personal mental health struggles stemming from a five decade plus career in the spotlight –in time for Movember’s annual campaign kickoff on November 1.

After going through a traumatizing experience that significantly impacted the way he lived his life, he has been reflecting on the highest of highs and the lowest of lows, how he overcame it, and how it prompted him to shave off his famous mustache in a moment of ritualistic shedding and reinvention. He is also shining a light on Movember's work in providing a space and place for men to come to for mental and physical health.

John says, “It is important to me to speak out about men’s issues and shine a light on things that often go unspoken.”

Whatever you grow will save a bro. Sign up and donate at www.movember.com.

Since forming his creative partnership with Daryl Hall in the early 1970s, they have gone on to record 21 albums, which have sold over 80 million units, making them the most successful duo in rock history. They have scored 10 number one records, over 20 Top 40 hits, and have toured the world for decades. John Oates (of the iconic pop-rock duo Daryl Hall & John Oates) is thrilled to release his new single “Disconnected” that is out now.

Oates says, “There are always times in our lives when we all feel “Disconnected” from some thing or someone …emotionally, physically, spiritually, or any of the above…but the important thing is to never give up hope and strive to find a way to pull it all back together.”

“Disconnected was an idea that I had in my digital archives that I rediscovered during the pandemic...the theme felt even more timely and I produced a reimagined version at home using Garage Band on my Mac. Then took that into Addiction Sound studios in Nashville and assembled an all star rhythm section to bring the home demo to life...a lot of the original Garage Band tracks are still on the finished recording.”

“For the new video, Oates tapped Nashville visual artist Jason Lee Denton. “He is a very creative guy who I have worked with on several other video projects and he always manages to deliver on the concept,” Oates shared. “As far as the idea, I played a lot of the instruments on the song and so then I was visually inspired by Taylor Swift using multiple versions of herself in a video.” Shot in East Nashville, “It’s kind of a low-rent version of what she did, me playing everything,” he laughed. “Using digital overlays and blue screen I wanted to show myself from two sides…the behind the scenes writer and the on stage performer. It was important for me to visually nod to an important part of my musical past and create some throwback moments in the production. That’s why I’m wearing that great 1960s sparkly jacket and why I do some “Temptations walk” dance steps. That’s my history coming back to life.”

“Disconnected” is the second single from his series of tracks that he will release each month.

Last year Oates released “Pushin’ A Rock,”  was the first of the series that he released. Pushin’ A Rock” was Co-written with Grammy winning producer /writer Nathan Paul Chapman and partner with Movember, the leading international men’s health charity, ahead of the nonprofit’s annual fall campaign where men grow mustaches to raise awareness and funds for men’s health issues focusing on mental health, suicide prevention, and testicular and prostate cancer.

Americana singer-songwriter Al Staehely is thrilled to announce his new album, Somewhere in West Texas to be released on June 30th via Quarto Valley Records.

As a preview, he has released the music video for his single “Something Good Is Gonna Happen” that is featured on CMT.com.

A third generation Austinite, Al splits his time between Houston and the Big Bend high desert area of far West Texas. His album of new music, Somewhere in West Texas, recorded in Marfa, TX, features an all-star lineup of musicians, including Fran Christina (Fabulous Thunderbirds, Bonnie Raitt), Scrappy Jud Newcomb (Ian McLagan, Ray Wylie Hubbard, Patty Griffin, Slaid Cleaves) and Chris Maresh (Eric Johnson, Willie Nelson, Bonnie Raitt, Kenny Wayne Shepherd).

About Al Staehely

Al Staehely is the only person on the planet who has both played Carnegie Hall and provided legal services for Stevie Ray Vaughan. It didn’t take long for Staehely to begin making those dreams a reality. Soon after arriving in Los Angeles in 1971, he and his brother John were asked to join the critically acclaimed band, Spirit. With Al as the band’s new lead vocalist, bass player, and chief songwriter and John taking over lead guitar duties from Randy California, Spirit recorded the album, Feedback, in November of 1971.

Successful tours followed - Canada, Australia, and the U.S. - including the aforementioned performance at Carnegie Hall. When Spirit splintered, Al and John formed a group appropriately named the Staehely Brothers, releasing the album Sta-Hay-Lee on Epic Records in 1973.

In 1980, Staehely returned to Texas and pulled his law degree out of the drawer. Lawyer by day, musician by night. Al did shows with Roy Orbison, Jefferson Starship, Emmylou Harris – two European tours with John Cipollina and Nick Gravenitis (of Quicksilver Messenger Service and Electric Flag, respectively) documented by the LP, Monkey Medicine, which was recorded in Hamburg and featured three of Al’s songs. Back in Texas, he even played a show with Rodney Dangerfield! Just as he was beginning to build his law practice, Polydor Records came calling and in 1982 Staehaley’s Comet, Al’s long-awaited solo record, was released – but only in Europe.

In 2011, Steady Boy Records oversaw the first US release of the Polydor album, with the new title, Al Staehely and 10k Hours. In 2013, Cadillac Cowboys, an EP by Al Staehely and the Explosives, was also released on SteadyBoy Records. In more recent years, he has returned to the studio and continues to  play live – frequently with his brother John, Freddie Steady Krc, Mike Rosenbaum and sax player Evelyn Rubio.

Oates says, ““Get Your Smile On” was yet another song that I wrote during the Pandemic. When I was trying my best to search for any positive vibe I could come up with.. since I had a lot of time on my hands, I began to write using GarageBand on my Mac. It’s usually how I start my song “Sketches” But it began to come together so well, I decided to really produce the track the way I would have in a professional, recording studio. I played all the instruments, programmed the keyboards and sang all the vocals as well. This is the first time I’m releasing a pure GarageBand production. I’m happy the way it came out and I hope it puts a smile on your face when you hear it.

Teen Cancer America Founder, Roger Daltrey says, "John is a fantastic supporter of our charity and has given his time and talent to helping the young people with cancer that we serve. Now he's featuring them on his latest video and donating the proceeds from the single to us. This means so much to me, thanks John, from the bottom of my heart.”

“Get Your Smile On” is the seventh release from his recent series of standalone singles including “Too Late To Break Fall”,  “Maneater” (Reggae Version), the Louis Armstrong cover “What A Wonderful World,” the Timmy Thomas cover  “Why Can't We Live Together,” and originals “Disconnected” and Pushin’ A Rock.”

The band previously toured in support of their hit 2019 album Blessings with singles “Wicked Heart” and “Light On” making a splash on alternative radio. Blessings is the band's third studio album, and it was helmed by Rob Cavallo, the producer behind Green Day, My Chemical Romance, Linkin Park, and more. In 2020 Sublime With Rome dominated the rock and alternative music charts as well as headlining shows in sheds, amphitheaters, and major festivals worldwide.

Sublime with Rome continued to make waves in 2023, having collaborated with Slightly Stoopid on “Cool & Collected,” the first new release from both groups in several years. A long overdue reunion of sorts, making the track an especially meaningful project given Bradley of Sublime first signed Slightly Stoopid to Skunk Records back in 1996. The group celebrated the release with a joint summer tour full of packed shows across 27 cities following a solo headlined sold-out show at Colorado’s iconic Red Rocks.

Sublime with Rome officially welcomed their new drummer, Cleveland-based Joe Tomino of Dub Trio, and released a brand new EP, Tangerine Skies. Produced by Rome Ramirez, this EP also enlists the talents from a super roster of friends and family including Neal Avron, Le; Coast Sound, Gabrial McNair, BSAMZ, and more!

Of the EP, Rome shares, “This collection of songs has been years in the making - some of the tracks originating as demos during the pandemic, we took this music out to Texas to fully realize it as an album.” Fans can look forward to tracks that highlight the roots of Sublime, framed in an evolution that feels fresh and instantly memorable.

Currently, Sublime with Rome has almost 261 million all-time streams, and over 500k monthly listeners on Spotify. This is in addition to the legacy statistics which include 8M monthly listeners. “Santeria” remains the top song with over 660 million streams. This is followed by “What I Got” with over 420 million streams and “Badfish” with 165 million streams (stats via Spotify). Following Tangerine Skies, Sublime with Rome’s loyal audience can anticipate the final Sublime with Rome single “Love Is Dangerous” leading into the farewell self-titled album coming in 2024 recorded at Sonic Ranch.

John Oates (co-creator of the iconic pop-rock duo Hall & Oates) is thrilled to announce his new album Reunion to be released on May 17th. As a preview he has released the title track “Reunion” that is out now.

Oates says, “The idea for writing a song about a ‘Reunion’ came to me when I began to think about the true definition of the word. It came together when my 100-year-old father told me that he was making ready to be together with my mother, who had passed away some time ago. I wanted to write about the idea of reconnecting with the most essential part of our soul and our spirit. I brought the idea to a co-writing session with a newfound friend, A.J. Croce, a man with songwriting in his DNA and who is both an amazing piano player and someone who I sensed would relate to this idea. The song flowed out in a few hours. Then I took it home and translated it into a style that I could perform on guitar. We recorded it in Nashville with some of my best friends and were able to capture the truth as I envisioned it to be. I hope it means as much to you as it does to me, and if that is so, then this is my personal definition of a ‘hit’”.

In support of his new music Oates will be touring throughout the rest of the year and all next year. See tour dates below. More to be announced.

About John Oates
Although many people around the world know John Oates as the co-creator of the pop group Hall & Oates, this versatile artist’s musical roots run deep. As a young child in the early 1950s Oates’ life and influences parallel the evolution of American rock and roll. Playing and singing from the age of five he was born into a life of music. “I am old enough to remember music before the birth of rock and roll so when it hit, I was aware that something new and groundbreaking had happened”. Chuck Berry, Little Richard, the Everly Brothers and Elvis laid the foundation and the regional sounds crackling out of the AM radio from labels like Stax Volt/ Specialty / Sun / Chess were Oates’ sonic pallet from which to draw inspiration.

In the early 1960s, when the folk revival swept the college campuses, Oates immersed himself in songs he heard from all the newly rediscovered artists, many of whom traced their careers back to the 1920s and 30s at the beginning of phonograph recordings. Living in Philadelphia at that time Oates haunted the coffee houses and festivals to hear folks like Mississippi John Hurt, Doc Watson, Sonny Terry & Brownie McGhee and spent many a Saturday night at the fabled Uptown Theater to experience R&B greats like Sam and Dave, Otis Redding, the Temptations, Curtis Mayfield and James Brown.

It was from these early influences that John Oates became the musician he is today. A keeper of the flame, an Americana amalgamation of all that he heard and all that has come before him. For his music in the duo Hall & Oates, he was inducted into Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame, sold 80M records world wide, had ten number one albums, over 20 Top 30 hits, and toured the world for decades.

Working and moving to Nashville in the early 2000s Oates was embraced by the burgeoning Americana music community and surrounded by kindred spirits and with their help he began to tap back into his earliest musical DNA to establish and re-define himself. The results of which have been seven solo albums, multiple singles, and many classic collaborations. Now this body of work has manifested itself in his most recent and perhaps his most focused project…a collection of songs and an album called: REUNION, due May 17. The sound and style are uniquely personal and pay homage to his earliest influences, but looks forward with the maturity and perspective of who he is today.

Supported by an all-star lineup of musical friends and guests like Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Bella Fleck, and Sierra Hull as well as a cast of some of Music City’s finest players like Guthrie Trapp, Tom Bukovac, Russ Pahl, Paul Franklin, Steve Mackey, Marc Rogers, David Kalmusky, Greg Morrow, Josh Day and Nathaniel Smith…REUNION tells a tale of love, loss, and personal rediscovery framed in a sonic palate of lush acoustic production.

Ska alternative rock group, Sublime with Rome, announce their final album to be released on May 10th. This album is a culmination of the last fifteen years for the fans as a final farewell honoring the legacy of Sublime. As the final single to the album, Sublime with Rome have released “Love Is Dangerous” which is out now on all platforms.

The band’s frontman Rome Ramirez says, “‘Love Is Dangerous’ explores the vulnerabilities we face when we love someone. As a touring musician, it’s easy to get caught up in the hustle, but writing this song was like therapy for me. It reminded me that life isn’t just about chasing success in my career or art—it’s about taking time to connect with the people I care about. Sometimes, the best thing we can do is slow down and really listen to our loved ones’ hearts.”

In support of the final album the band recently announced The Farewell Tour kicking off April 11th. The touring members for this final leg will consist of Rome Ramirez, Joe Tomino on drums, Brian Allen (Miranda Lambert, Zac Brown) on bass, and Gabrial McNair (No Doubt, Green Day) on trombone/keys.

John Oates (co-creator of the iconic pop-rock duo Hall & Oates) is thrilled to release his cover of John Prine’s “Long Monday” that is out now. This track is part of his forthcoming album, Reunion set to drop on May 17th. As a preview he has released the title track “Reunion” that is out now as well.

Oates says, “I chose to record ‘Long Monday’ due to the evocative nature and down-to-earth beauty of the song’s story. I think it’s important to respect a songwriter’s work. Because of that I wanted to remain faithful to the lyrics and melody while, at the same time, making it my own as far as the arrangement. It was recorded in Nashville at Addiction Sound Studio. The mandolin genius Sierra Hull put her finishing touch on the recording.”

In support of his new music Oates will be touring throughout the rest of the year and all next year. See tour dates below. More to be announced.
