Anne Harris’ new single 'Over' was written for her by Markus James, with whom she began collaborating a few years ago. It is the first publicly released song born of this collaboration.  These two visionary Blues/American Roots artists have created an intriguing sound that, while rooted in acoustic blues, folk, and old-time traditions, reaches far beyond and into the future to encompass a unique view of what happens when those foundational influences mingle without boundaries in a postmodern world of cultural cross-pollination.

Anne Harris is a Chicago-based American Roots and Blues singer-songwriter and fiddle player. Her singular sound and performance style has transfixed audiences in the US and internationally for well over a decade. She has 6 self-produced indie albums to her credit. In addition to touring and recording with her band, she has toured, recorded, and/or performed with a formidable roster of artists including Otis Taylor, Guy Davis, Terrence Simien, Markus James, Living Colour, Vieux Farka Toure, Shemekia Copeland, Los Lobos, Anders Osborne, Cracker, and hippie legends Jefferson Starship.

Singer-songwriter Markus James recorded 5 critically acclaimed albums of original, Blues-based music with traditional musicians in Mali, West Africa. James’ instrumental track, ‘On a Mississippi Porch’, appears in the 2017 Oprah Winfrey film, The Immortal Life of Henrietta Lacks.

Decades long fixture in the Seattle music community, folk singer/songwriter Jim Page is releasing The Time Is Now April 16th, 2022. Featuring 11 lilting, American folk roots tracks sprinkled with saxophone, lap steel guitars, and lush backing vocals from Seattle’s J.R. Rhodes, The Time Is Now is Jim’s 24th album of original music. With songs touching on themes of street uprisings, climate change and corporate greed mixing with observations of the everyday, The Time Is Now lovingly speaks to our time and to the humanity that animates it.

Jim has shared stages with Bonnie Raitt and Joan Baez and has had songs covered by artists like the Doobie Brothers and Irish songwriter Christy Moore, who recently recorded The Time Is Now’s “Down To Zero” as “Clock Winds Down”, to wide-reaching critical acclaim.

“Jim's been writing great topical songs for as long as I can remember, bringing his acute wit and wry humor to a host of subjects that can really use both. In the tradition of Woody and Dylan, he cuts right to the heart with music you actually enjoy listening to. I'm a longtime admirer." Bonnie Raitt

“One Of The 50 Most Influential Musicians In Seattle History.” Seattle Metropolitan Magazine

Jim will be performing in Seattle April 9th at Hale’s Palladium and internationally at the William Morris Public House in Walthamstow, London on August 3rd.

Up and coming funk, soul, roots, pop singer/songwriter and pianist, Brittany Danielle has been a member of multiple Seattle-based bands over the years. Here we see her stepping out into her own for the first time with the debut of her new LP, Hindsight

Songs from Hindsight were written while in the socially experienced, collectively mind numbing, anxiety-filled months of pandemic lock-down, when Danielle turned to her  writing as a form of self-therapy. Her first single, Fondly, released in January of 2022, shows a playful sensibility and hints at funk influences; sprinkled throughout the LP.  Other highlights are contemplative, soul-searching album title-track, Hindsight, and retro soul tinged Rent. Taken as a group, Hindsight is a lovely introduction to a skillful  songwriter showcasing a unique brand of soulful pop.

“Fondly is a bangin' song, super fun." KBCS Bellevue College Radio Music Director, Iaan Hughes.

Upcoming shows include a solo performance at Lagunita’s (Seattle) April 25th and full  band shows at Remlinger Farms (Carnation) July 4th and at Brodie Fest (Carnation) the  weekend of July 14-16th.
