“This is the best of what we do best,” vows THE MIGHTY MIGHTY BOSSTONES vocalist Dicky Barrett of their upbeat and optimistic new album While We’re At It, which is due out on June 15th via their very own Big Rig Records. “It’s us firing on all of our cylinders. This is where we’re at in our lives with no regrets.”

The album was produced and mixed by Grammy Award winning producer Ted Hutt (Flogging Molly, Dropkick Murphys, Lucero, The Bouncing Souls, The Gaslight Anthem) and mastered by Grammy Award-nominated Greg Calbi (David Bowie, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan) at Sterling Sound. This collection of timeless soon-to-be ska classics brings to light current events and showcases the band’s signature ska-core sound. It's a very intellectual approach that paints a lyrical picture with upbeat and optimistic brush strokes.

Billboard revealed their charming video for "Wonderful Day For The Race" this past Friday. The track is now available for purchase on iTunes, Amazon Music, and Google Play and is also available for streaming via Spotify and Apple Music. Explore all options here. Limited Edition pre-order bundle items include brown vinyl, orange vinyl, CD, t-shirt, coffee mug, and coloring book. Bundles can be purchased here prior to June 15th.

“I read While We’re At It lyrics as a timely and thoughtful dispatch for citizens of an increasingly complicated world,” describes bassist Joe Gittleman. “Some of the commentary and meaning is clear or sort of worn on the album’s sleeve.” From celebrating our significance (“Wonderful Day For The Race”) to the desecration, destruction, and demolition of a historic Boston neighborhood (“The West End”) to loss (“In Honor Of”) to the classic American working-class story of the under-appreciated laborer being chewed up, passed over, mistreated, ignored, and finally spit out by the heartless corporation (“The Constant”) to being blacklisted by Hollywood movie studios in the 1950s (“Hugo’s Wife”) to railing against the current state of American politics (“Divide”, “Here We Are”) – While We’re At It chronicles the harsh realities of life and gives hope for a better future.

Nine years later, The Mighty Mighty BossToneS trilogy is finally complete. “Pin Points and Gin Joints is about the journey, the story, and the people involved,” explains Barrett. “It looks fondly and proudly at where they’ve been and who they are and ultimately comes to the conclusion that there is so much more to do and see. The Magic of Youth is an album filled with hope and great optimism. Finally, While We’re At It applies the wisdom while maintaining an understanding that some things might be out of your control. Its most powerful message is it's not what you had or what you have or what you hold onto – it’s how you handle what you’re handed when it's handed to you.”

The unstoppable and tried and true The Mighty Mighty BossTones are Dicky Barrett (vocals),Joe Gittleman (bass fiddleman), Chris Rhodes (trombone), Tim Burton (saxophone), Joe Sirois (drums), Leon Silva (saxophone), Ben Carr (dancer), Lawrence Katz (guitar), and John Goetchius (keyboard). Their new album While We’re At It will be released on June 15th via Big Rig Records.

Quintessential Irish-American Celtic punk band FLOGGING MOLLY and legendary American punk rock band SOCIAL DISTORTION are teaming up for the ultimate Summer tour. Their co-headline tour will kick off in Dallas, TX at Toyota Music Factory Pavilion on August 13th with The Devil Makes Three and Le Butcherettes in tow, circle around the East Coast, head toward the Midwest then West Coast to conclude at Mesa Amphitheatre in Phoenix, AZ on September 29th.Pandora and CITI presale kicks off on April 23rd at 10am and public on sale begins on April 26that 10am. Front Row Packages and VIP Tour Packages can be purchased here.

"We’re excited to be heading out on the road with our friends Flogging Molly this summer,” vows Social Distortion frontman Mike Ness. “It’s been a long time since we’ve played a show together and the first time since ’92 that Social Distortion has done a co-headline tour. It’s going to be a lot of fun and we’re all looking forward to it.”

Since their formation in 1979 in the working-class Southern California suburb of Fullerton, Social Distortion have a recharged rock ‘n’ roll sound merging outlaw country, classic punk and swaggering blues. The band’s last release Hard Times and Nursery Rhymes was the first album with their current label Epitaph Records and the band’s highest charting album in their career. Produced for the first time by Ness himself, the album debuted at #4 on the Billboard Top 200 Albums Chart. As the band is now in their 40th year and still going strong, look to make this tour the start of their 2019 festivities while also preparing to head back into the studio to start a new chapter to their already rich legacy.

FLOGGING MOLLY is a staple in the punk scene and touring in support of Life Is Good, their first new album in over six years. It’s filled with rousing songs that are timeless in their sentiment, but directly related to today’s most pressing concerns: politics, the economy, unemployment, planned boomtowns gone bust, immigration policies gone awry, and much more. Life Is Goodserves as a wake-up call to those who have simply stood by while far-reaching political decisions were made that had serious impact on them. The band started out as the house band at Molly Malone’s and built a loyal following. They’ve built a massive fan base through endless touring and even have their very own boat cruise which has hosted everyone from Rancid to NOFX to The Offspring to Less Than Jake to The English Beat to The Bouncing Souls to Frank Turner to Gogol Bordello. This year marks the fifth year of their roaring Salty Dog Cruise. This year’s lineup includes Frank Turner, Stiff Little Fingers, Pennywise, Hepcat, Face To Face, Street Dogs, The Bronx, Mariachi El Bronx and others.

Alt-country trio DRIFT MOUTH is gearing up for the release of its sophomore album Loveridge Is Burning on November 20th via Wild Frontier Recording Company. The band has unveiled the title track for your listening pleasure. It's a song that pays tribute to the generations of frontman Lou Poster's family that worked in the mines. "Poster lays it out in raw and vivid terms with the kind of literary song craftsmanship of fellow troubadours like Steve Earle and Son Volt's Jay Farrar," describes Glide Magazine. The album is now available for preorder in LP and CD formats here.

"Loveridge mine stands as a metaphor for all of the failures of the coal industry to deliver on its promises of prosperity and stability for the people of Appalachia," explains Poster. "The first of the revolutionary longwall mines in the region, it rocketed to prominence as one of the top producing mines in the world in just the first few years of operation in the '80s, generating vast wealth for the owners and shareholders out of state. The miners working there, however, were subjected to long hours in dangerous conditions for comparatively little pay, just as they have always been."

Lou Poster is the son of a 3rd generation West Virginia coal miner. A solid work ethic and a healthy distrust of unchecked capitalism is part of his DNA. After fronting the ear-crushing cowpunk band Grafton for nearly two decades, he has decided to explore the more melodic side of his country roots, and the result combines murder ballads that sit neatly beside tales of lost love and disconnection, all from a truly unique perspective. He has the ability to deliver a narrative that can be read on multiple levels and be important and moving no matter the interpretation.
