Krantz is proud to premiere “Misty Morning Dew”, a “a 90’s tinged alternative rocker that takes the whimsical yearnings of Tiny Music era Stone Temple Pilots, the ringing guitars of R.E.M.’s Monster and flashes of playful retro soul” on Glide Magazine.

The song was inspired by “daydreaming and under the influence of some recreational substances ya might say,” explains singer/guitarist Jeffrey Krantz.  “I just kinda envisioned running through my happy place with my favorite girl. Checking out the scenery and knowing I’ll be right behind her as we fall hand in hand into the misty morning dew.”

After leaving his home state of Iowa, traveling the world, touring over 200 days per year with a band called The Effects and opening for acts such as the Kings of Leon, Shinedown, Foreigner, and the Toadies, Jeffrey Krantz made the decision to “live the dream” and eventually landed in Nashville.

There, he recorded his first self-produced solo album self-titled KRANTZ in between tapings of MTV’s music competition, American Supergroup, where he eventually became a finalist in the competition.

While working nonstop at the Honky Tonks of Music City to reach his musical dream, Jeffrey Krantz (lead guitar, singer) joined forces with Tee Tallent (keys) and Adrian Flores (percussion), all whom he met on the Broadway circuit.

Together, the band Krantz brings a psychedelic/pop/rock edge equipped with an in-your-face attitude, intertwining meaningful lyrics, and authentic, no-holds rock and roll. As an alternative rock band in a land of country music, Krantz embraces a refreshing take on golden age rock acts, combining classic musical elements of The Beatles and T. Rex with more modern sounds of bands like Weezer and Green Day, creating whimsical and catchy melodies that are certain make your feet dance and heart throb.

Misty Morning Dew is second album will be released September 27, 2019.

Australian guitarist, singer/songwriter, and producer Hamish Anderson unveils his latest single, “You’re Mine,” premiering exclusively on V13. The track, which serves as the second single from his highly anticipated album ELECTRIC, showcases Anderson's extraordinary guitar grooves and pays homage to the iconic sounds of Faces, T-Rex, and Fleetwood Mac. This release marks a significant milestone in Anderson’s musical journey, blending emotive storytelling with soul-stirring music.

Recorded at East West in Hollywood, “You’re Mine” features Anderson’s trio and Jessy Greene (Foo Fighters) on strings. The heartfelt ode to the enduring power of love and the unexpected beauty of finding it, stands out with its fuzzed-out sound and captivating guitar work. The track follows “Late In The Evening,” the unapologetically heavy rock debut single from ELECTRIC, described by Glide Magazine as "weaving biting six-string leads and riffs into a lush statement evoking rock’s glory days" and hailed as a “groovy rocker” by Blues Rock Review.

ELECTRIC, set for release on October 11, 2024, is Hamish Anderson’s third full-length album and his first in five years. Aptly titled, the album is described by Anderson as a “love letter to the electric guitar.” It was mostly recorded live as a trio with his touring band, featuring bassist Lauren Stockner and drummer Pete Marin, with appearances by Jessy Greene on strings and Jerry Borge on keys (Jonathan Wilson, Ziggy Marley). The album showcases a stellar high-energy sound with a unified vision, capturing the raw, energetic vibe of ’70s blues rock while updating it with modernized sounds and forward-thinking arrangements across eleven original songs and one cover song.

ELECTRIC Track Listing:

You’re Mine
Late In The Evening
Stir Crazy
So Alive
Brighter Days
Pale Moonlight Interlude

Fri, 08/09/2024 - 11:18 am

Acclaimed Australian guitarist, singer/songwriter, and producer Hamish Anderson is set to release his electrifying new single “Stir Crazy” on August 9th, 2024. With a sound reminiscent of early 80s ZZ Top, this hard-hitting track is sure to be an instant classic.

Listen to "Stir Crazy"

“It’s got a big riff and the power chords put me in the headspace of an AC/DC, Joan Jett, ZZ Top kind of groove. Lyrically, it’s about being trapped and trying not to completely lose control,” explains Anderson. The single’s driving energy and powerful chords evoke the raw intensity of rock legends, making it a perfect anthem for those moments when life feels like it's spiraling out of control.

Americana Highways has already praised the track, saying, “Think Billy Gibbons meets AC/DC... it’s a headbanger and an instant romp that’ll have you rolling on up, and getting on down.”

“Stir Crazy” is the third single from Anderson’s highly anticipated album ELECTRIC, which is scheduled for release on October 11, 2024. This upcoming album marks Anderson’s third full-length release and his first in five years. A true “love letter to the electric guitar,” ELECTRIC showcases Anderson’s exceptional talent and passion for blues rock, with modernized sounds and forward-thinking arrangements that bring a fresh energy to the genre.

The album was primarily recorded live with Anderson’s touring band, featuring bassist Lauren Stockner and drummer Pete Marin. The album also includes guest appearances by Jessy Green on strings (Foo Fighters) and Jerry Borge on keys (Jonathan Wilson, Ziggy Marley), with Anderson sharing production duties alongside David Davis (The War On Drugs, Lauren Ruth Ward, Miguel).

The result is a high-energy collection of eleven original songs and one cover that capture the raw, energetic vibe of ’70s blues rock while pushing the boundaries with contemporary sounds and innovative arrangements.

Earlier this week, the video for Anderson’s previous single, “You’re Mine,” premiered on Atwood Magazine, who praised it as “a seductive and smoldering outpouring of love... [it] expresses intimacy, vulnerability, and raw passion through a stunning, sonically charged lens.” This track, along with “Stir Crazy,” sets the stage for what is sure to be a landmark album in Anderson’s career.

Tracklisting for ELECTRIC:

Australian guitarist, singer-songwriter, and producer Hamish Anderson releases his soulful new single "Brighter Days" today! Listen here: https://ffm.to/habrighterdays

“Overall, I hope ‘Brighter Days’ is a song that gives whoever's listening to it a bit of hope,” says Hamish. “It shows the other side of my album ELECTRIC.” The emotional track takes inspiration from Al Green and Stax-era soul. “While there’s a lot of blues and rock and roll throughout the album, there is also a lot of soul, and this new single really lives in that world.”

As a love letter to the guitar, each song on ELECTRIC "has a nod to guitarists before me," Hamish notes.

Early reviews have garnered high praise for ELECTRIC:

"The Melbourne multi-hyphenate has crafted innovative arrangements across 12 tracks of Seventies blues-rock fused with contemporary sounds. Anderson reached a new level of musicality and rollicking bravado." — Rolling Stone Australia

"Electric is Anderson’s most complete and mature artistic statement to date." — Glide Magazine

"Electric is a full electric, dense collection of eleven songs with heavy rhythms and groovin’ buildups..." — Americana Highways

ELECTRIC, due October 11, 2024, is Hamish’s third full-length album and his first in five years. Aptly titled, it’s a hard-driving, pulsating album that showcases his energetic style.

Recorded mostly live as a trio with his touring band—bassist Lauren Stockner and drummer Pete Marin—the album features appearances by Jessy Green on strings (Foo Fighters) and Jerry Borge on keys (Jonathan Wilson, Ziggy Marley). Hamish shares production duties with David Davis (The War On Drugs, Lauren Ruth Ward, Miguel). The result is a stellar, high-energy album with a clear and unified vision. It captures the raw, energetic vibe of ’70s blues rock but updates it with modern sounds and forward-thinking arrangements across eleven original songs and one cover.

Hamish reflects, “I’m incredibly proud of ELECTRIC and feel it’s my best work to date—truly representing myself and my musical vision: a mixture of modern blues, rock & roll, and soul. Please play it loud!”

Wryn (they/them) is an avant/folk singer-songwriter based in Lompoc, a small city north of Santa Barbara, CA. During a period of deep transformation that began four years ago, Wryn embarked on a journey that brought outward changes to their moniker, sound, and gender identity. This reinvention, both in sound and spirit, became the ethos of their new album, aptly titled Shapes, set for release in 2025 on Ani DiFranco’s Righteous Babe Records. The album is produced by Bella Blasko (The National, Gracie Abrams, Taylor Swift) and features performances by Mike Lewis (Bon Iver) and JT Bates (Bonny Light Horseman, Big Red Machine).

On the album’s second single, “Snake,” Wryn explains, “This song stems from righteous anger.” They process the political upheaval of the post-pandemic world with a raspy intimacy reminiscent of Sharon Van Etten. The resulting song is “a call to something older and deeper. It taps into my own personal experiences of not just systemic violence but the intimate and interpersonal kind.

"Having experienced assault in my past, this song was a way to transform my own pain into a call to action. ‘I can’t wait for an answer before I get free.’”

The single follows the album’s first release, “Steady,” which came out in 2024. A personal anthem, Wryn wrote “Steady” during the COVID-19 lockdown. Initially grappling with uncertainty, the song's meaning has deepened for them after being recently diagnosed with a rare neurological disease, AVM (arteriovenous malformation). Wryn reflects, “The meaning of ‘Steady’ continues to grow as I do. It has always captured a continuous reach for embodiment and integration.”

Following the album’s release on March 28th, Wryn will embark on a tour with Righteous Babe founder and artist Ani DiFranco. “I love Wryn’s music, and I hope you do too,” says DiFranco about Wryn joining the label, releasing their debut album, and opening the April run of the "Unprecedented Sh!t” Tour. Full dates for the tour are listed below:

Bon Bon Vivant (BBV), the genre bending New Orleans-based indie collective, will headline the Laniappe Stage at The New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival on Friday, May 2.

The Lagniappe Stage at Jazz Fest is described as a potpourri of sound, which aptly represents Bon Bon Vivant. Led by songwriter/front-woman Abigail Cosio and saxophonist/vocalist Jeremy Kelley, Bon Bon Vivant’s musical identity is freewheeling and bold, pulling liberally from the storytelling of classic Americana, the edge of indie rock, and the unshakable groove of New Orleans. They regularly deliver thrilling performances, transforming venues into communal gatherings where revelry and reflection can coexist.

“The power of playing live is the power of human connection,” Cosio notes. “It’s like painting in a cave until you get in front of an audience.”

Earlier this year, the band released a new song “Sin Eater (Live at the Salem Grand Theater)” with accompanying video that captures the spirit of revelry and celebration of life in their live performances.”We have presented a macabre love song with the concept of the Sin Eater, taking on the weight of another’s burden,” says Abigail Cosio. Cosio illiterates the calling to go into dark depths with unflinching dedication for someone you love. “I’ll be your sin eater.”

BBV honors this “Bon Vivant” philosophy and the city where they live, New Orleans, with woven stories and a dynamic rhythm section. The band experiments with high energy dance music and dark, sensual melodies with lyrics like "start living now while you've got living left.”  This music lives in the duality of enjoying the light because the darkness is always near!

Bon Bon Vivant are on tour throughout the spring and summer. And additional new music and videos are on the horizon. Visit https://www.bbvband.com/ for more information.

ABOUT: Bon Bon Vivant has been playing music together since 2013, formed in the French Quarter of New Orleans. Locally, BBV  is one of the highlighted acts in the New Orleans music scene, Awarded Best Emerging Artist of 2018 by Off Beat Magazine. BBV plays regularly in New Orleans with appearances at French Quarter Fest, Jazz Fest, Bayou Boogaloo and tours regularly spreading the gospel of connectivity, reverence and revelry with their infectious live shows.

Nashville-via-Sydney singer-songwriter Imogen Clark is getting high octane and back to the nitty gritty with her new album Choking on Fuel. After a breakneck year of non-stop touring, returning to her roots armed with an acoustic guitar, Imogen is rolling out a record that captures the intensity, vulnerability, musical dexterity and vocal power that characterizes her compelling live performances.

“I spent last year on the road around the world, playing headline shows but also touring with Robyn Hitchcock, Steve Poltz, BOWEN * YOUNG and Andrew Farriss”, Imogen explains. “So many people have messaged me or commented on my social media to say that they would love to have an album that captured the spirit of what I do live, and that’s what this is”.

The album puts Imogen’s rich, devastating vocals front and center, foregrounding her deft, cutting lyrics and affecting melodies. The record runs the emotional gamut from the wry, incendiary “All Hard Feelings” (with 70s style backing vocals from co-writers Sinead Burgess and Blake O’Connor, who also tears up a blistering slide guitar solo), a high-octane harmonica solo on “The Art of Getting Through” from the legendary Mickey Raphael, the sexy bluegrass raveup of “Sebastian” (where Imogen is backed by Aussie grassers Midnight Chicken) to the raw, powerful anthem “The Last of Me” (with My Morning Jacket’s Bo Koster on propulsive piano), the road not taken nightmare of “Squinters” (a co-write with Steve Poltz powered by Bryan Sutton’s nuanced acoustic guitar), a fiery Nebraska-esque anthem “If I Want In” (featuring Aussie rock legend Ella Hooper) to the delicate, timeless wisdom of “If Your Heart Never Breaks” (featuring gorgeous harmonies from co-writer Jim Lauderdale and a dexterous and beautiful guitar from the iconic Tommy Emmanuel).

An unexpected closing note comes with a radical reinterpretation of the classic Sheryl Crow / Jeff Trott anthem “If It Makes You Happy”, reimagined as a vulnerable duet with Imogen’s tourmate and Americana UK Live Act of the Year Kezia Gill. Aussie fans will expect to see it on the setlist when Imogen and Kezia head down under for a co-headline tour in October.

“I’ve gotten to know and write with Jeff Trott since I’ve been living in Nashville,” Imogen explains. “After hearing him explain how he began writing this song late one night on the piano, it sparked the idea of approaching the song from that point of view. Having Kez sing it with me added so much extra magic to this version of one of my all-time favorite songs”.

Indie singer/songwriter Trevor Sensor teases his new album A Few Tears of Eros with the bluesy rocker “The Farm” out today on High Black Desert Records. The single and accompanying video premiered earlier this week on  Under The Radar: “...his reedy Dylan-esque croon… bar-burning guitar solo… draws out all of the ambient tension, fury and frustration churning away in the track, fully letting loose in a climatic storm of unbridled emotion.”

“The song came to me while I was working in a field. It was mid-summer, the sun was hot, and I’d been digging holes since morning. I looked around and thought, ‘How’d I end up working on the farm?’, explains Trevor. “I’d probably made a couple of wrong turns way back when to end up here—following my dream too blindly. Nevertheless, here I was and still am.”

The video for “The Farm,” filmed by friend Ryan Ohm, captures Trevor in his element, “me in my corner with the desolation which surrounds it.” This is not an homage to the past but rather an acknowledgment to the meanness of plebeian existence. The only nourishment here is for the spirit—hope is a novel concept. “One time, when I was out of work, I went to a temp agency tucked in a dilapidated strip mall. I told the man there my story, and after I’d finished he said, ‘Well, we’ll see what we can do. We’re not really used to people with dreams around here.’ I think that about sums it all up.”

“The Farm” is the first single from his fourth album, A Few Tears of Eros, an exploration of modern love in a dejected and atomized world that looks at the in between. “A lot of songs I hear deal with beginnings or aftermaths of romance… what lurks beneath the surface of happily-ever-after is what interests me.”

A Few Tears of Eros will be released August 8, 2025 on High Black Desert Records.

ABOUT TREVOR SENSOR | Midwest native Trevor Sensor released his debut EP Texas Girls and Jesus Christ in 2016 on Jagjaguwar. It was followed by Andy Warhol’s Dream (2017, Jagjaguwar), a “chameleon” (- Consequence) of an album that seamlessly blends psychedelic folk, Americana and indie rock. In 2021, he returned with On Account of Exile Vol. 1 & Vol. 2 (High Black Desert Records), an “infinitely rewarding…” (Americana UK) collection. After a four year hiatus, he is readying, A Few Years of Eros (High Black Desert Records) due August 8, 2025. Limited tour dates TBA.

Toad The Wet Sprocket will extend their upcoming Good Intentions 2025 U.S. headlining tour into the fall with additional dates in September and October with KT Tunstall and Vertical Horizon. Limited VIP packages and new Good Intentions merchandise are available at Toad The Wet Sprocket Online.

In July and August, the band is joined by KT Tunstall and Sixpence None The Richer and the recent addition, The Jayhawks, who take the place of Semisonic.

The band commented, “We look forward to sharing the stage with Semisonic in the future and are grateful that our friends, The Jayhawks, are able to step in. We look forward to a great year ahead on the road.” – Toad The Wet Sprocket

As in years past, Toad The Wet Sprocket will partner with a nonprofit organization with shared values to bring awareness to fans and give back. This year, Toad The Wet Sprocket will spotlight the National Parks Foundation (https://www.nationalparks.org/) to support and protect our natural treasures.

Toad The Wet Sprocket have been stalwarts on the road, propelled to mainstream success for 30+ years by their loyal and dedicated fan base. The multi-platinum-selling band has been uplifting audiences with their melodic alt-rock guitars, introspective lyrics, and signature vocal harmonies. Throughout their career, Toad The Wet Sprocket have remained staunchly independent in their artistic integrity. “We were young and it was us against the record company,” recalls guitarist Todd Nichols of their early days. “We had a bit of punk-rock ethos.”

This commitment to stay true to themselves and DIY mentality also spilled over into the enduring relationship with their fans. Amassing a mailing list of 70,000 at the start of their career, the band forged deep connections with a devout and loyal core of fans, who they’ve continued to grow with. “It’s like a reunion of sorts,” reflects bassist Dean Dinning. “It’s almost like having family in the audience every night.”

“As an artist, it feels good to know we can still make music that’s resonating,” adds singer Glen Phillips. “When we play ‘The Moment’ or ‘Transient Whales’ at our shows now, there’s a huge percentage of the audience who know every word of those songs, too.”

In addition to the 2025 Good Intentions headlining tour, Toad The Wet Sprocket are putting the finishing touches on an acoustic greatest-hits album, set for release later this year.
