Alternative rock legends Primus are pleased to announce Green Naugahyde, the band's first studio album in 11 years, is now available for purchase.  Green Naugahyde (ATO Records / Prawn Songs), is a Primus record in the truest sense of the word.  It was produced and engineered by Les Claypool at  Rancho Relaxo, his personal studio in Northern California, and features long-time guitarist Larry LaLonde as well as drummer Jay Lane, who has weaved in and out of Primus' line-up over their long and storied history.  Green Naugahyde expands on the band's incomparable sound and also sees them bringing it to the next millennium.  It is a cerebral and complex album that, like all of the band's output is teeming with the signature Primus blend of whimsy and underlying darkness.

In supposr of Green Naugahyde, Primus will be heading out on a fall tour later this month billed "An Evening with Primus".  The tour, which features two full sets from the band, begins on September 23rd in Boston before making its way west, concluding on October 29th as part of the Oddity Faire at the Greek Theatre in Berkley, CA.  You can find all of the band's tour dates listed below, and ticket information can be found in the tour section of the band's website.

For The past 27 years, Primus have followed in the footsteps of boundary-pushing artists like Frank Zappa and Pink Floyd to create some of the most original and inventive music in existence.  Green Naugahyde is a Primus record with all of the magic and mystery that phrase entails - and while no one can say for sure what the future will hold in store for the band, the most important thing is that the album exists and will inevitably hold its own in the band's impressive cannon of music.

Today sees the launch of an exclusive short film, Music Runs Ellie, starring recording artist and
passionate runner Ellie Goulding. The result of an innovative partnership with Nike that fuses
the worlds of sport and music like never before, the film was shot on location across the US and
UK, and reveals Ellie’s two main passions in life – music and running.

Ellie, who has just finished a sold out tour of the US, managed to fit time into her hectic schedule
to train for Run to the Beat, powered by Nike+, London’s Music Half Marathon which took place on
September 25, 2011. ‘Music Runs Ellie’ brings to life Ellie’s journey, as she juggles her two life passions.

Ellie trains with Nike+ which not only helps her to keep track of her performance and stay motivated,
but also allows her to share online updates with her legions of fans. Using Nike+, Ellie posted real
time details of her training runs onto her Facebook page so fans from all over the world could follow
her inspirational journey towards the Run to the Beat, powered by Nike+ finish line, and send her
messages of support.

Ellie Goulding has been passionate about running for a number of years.  Every artist has their
pre-gig ritual, and in Ellie's case, preparing for a show involves hitting the streets. Commenting on
the partnership, Goulding said: "It's fantastic to be able to combine two things that I am so passionate about with such a cool brand. Being able to run while on a busy touring schedule is difficult but it is something I make a priority and I think this film will show how I manage to combine the two.”

To mark the partnership with Nike; the 24-year-old singer-songwriter and runner has also released a
stunning mix inspired by her love of running. Mixed by DJ and producer Alex Metric, "Run into the
Light" works seamlessly as a 30-minute running aid, with peaks and troughs that sync perfectly into
the rhythm of a run to help inspire the listener to run better than ever before. "Run Into the Light"
is available now at iTunes.

Keaton Henson is a twenty-three year-old songwriter, artist and poet from the suburbs of London. Hespends his days alone – at first by chance, and now by choice – writing and recording from his bedroom. His music was never really intended to be heard by anyone, for reasons that will become clear later. Yet despite this, and without management, press or radio play, Henson has sold nearly 4,000 copies of his first self-released record, and received more than 55,000 views of a single video (15,000 of these coming in its first two days online). Those who know of him tend to be either obsessive - setting up Facebook and Tumblr sites in a bid to find out more about him - or concerned: with Keaton's raw, emotional lyrics leading to many inquiring as to his well-being.

Largely oblivious to it all is Keaton himself, of whom relatively little is still known. He first came to light as an illustrator and visual artist, through which he has exhibited art worldwide and will publish a book of illustrations, called Gloaming, on the same day the album is released. Keaton wrote the songs of Dear… following – his lyrics would suggest - a particularly traumatic relationship breakdown. Today, he professes to have only written music as a gift to his best friend, who then pressured him into putting tracks online (even his family had no idea what he was doing in his bedroom for two years). This might explain the quietly devastating emotional honesty of Keaton’s songs, which were never designed to reach an audience. "You Don't Know How Lucky You Are," for instance, addresses a former love directly (“Does he know not to talk about your dad? / Does he know when you're sad, you don't like to be touched?"). The extraordinary "Charon," whose oddly amusing video features a puppet committing suicide, is also informed by anxiety, and isolation: “it seems as though I’m on my own, and time transcends / and it seems I speak like waters leak, and I’m losing friends.”

Keaton will partner with ATC and Motive Sounds to release his debut album next year: a limited, hand-sewn and personally-illustrated run sold out in just two hours some months ago. And whilst he is slowly growing in confidence to talk about himself and his music, Keaton is still far from a conventional artist.

For one thing, any fans expecting to see him play a gig might have to wait a while. Intent on ridding himself of the anxiety that has plagued him since he was a child – “I have an over-active fear gland”, as he wryly puts it – Keaton agreed to play his first ever gig last year. This just happened to be in front of 2,000 people at Sadler’s Wells, in conjunction with the acclaimed dance troupe BalletBoyz, who wished to perform live to his music. “Everyone was saying the adrenaline would kick in,” he recalls, “but it just didn’t. The audience were so supportive and even quite emotional, but I couldn’t understand why theywere staring at me. I sang again the following night and then told the company I just couldn’t do it anymore.”

Keaton Henson’s music constructs an intense, honest and emotional space: even the open-ended title, Dear..., suggests a degree of intimacy. This is clearly at odds with the demands of the live circuit, so Keaton is currently making plans for live music experiences that will suit both his disposition and his music. Ideas currently range from performances via video stream to installations within a gallery space: details will be confirmed nearer the release of the album itself.

Since her acclaimed SideOneDummy Records debut, The Happiest Lamb, in May 2010, Oklahoma-
born singer/songwriter Audra Mae has undergone quite a transformation. The main change is that
Audra Mae is now backed by a band dubbed THE ALMIGHTY SOUND, which is comprised of stand-
up bassist Joe Ginsberg, guitarist Jarrad Kritzstein, pianist Frank Pedano and drummer Kiel Fehercame.

Audra explains the change by saying "These musicians are my best friends. They're so talented and
they have my back, which is what you want in a band...that they care about you and your music.”

In addition to The Almighty Sound, Audra also tapped country star Deana Carter (Did I Shave
My Legs for This) to come aboard to co-produce.

While The Happiest Lamb showcased Audra Mae’s darker, more dramatic and melancholy side,
Audra Mae & The Almighty Sound's debut EP is a celebration of her Audra's own blossoming as
a performer, the perfect storm of all her influences, spiked with the energy of a group who honed
their chops in live situation. The EP will be available digitally on November 29th, 2011, but it can be
streamed TODAY in it’s entirety.

Stay tuned for more news on Audra Mae and The Almighty Sound!

ATO Records/Prawn Songs is excited to release Primus' video for "Tragedy's a' Comin'", the first
clip off Green Naugahyde, out now.  The video, which premiered in a three-part series on
IFC.com (Part 1, Part 2, Part 3), was directed by Mark Kohr, who helmed Primus' classic videos
for "Tommy the Cat" and "Jerry Was A Race Car Driver".

The video focuses on a lobster's impending demise, soon to be boiled and fed to members of the upper crust, serving as a metaphor for global impending doom.  The clip also features Les Claypool in a lobster suit, acting out the last moments of the crustacean on the beach.  When discussing the making of the video with IFC, Claypool remarked "I spent so many years dodging goofball bullets from doing the 'Wynona's Big Brown Beaver' video that I don't resist it anymore.  I got to put on a giant lobster suit, and that doesn't happen every day."

Green Naugahyde debuted at #15 on the Billboard Top 200, the highest chart placement for the band in 16 years.  In support of the record, Primus recently wrapped up a tour featuring two sets per evening, one of which being Green Naugahyde in its entirety.  This past weekend, Primus was featured on NPR's Weekend Edition, which praised Claypool as "equal parts odd and prolific."
