ensō, in the Zen tradition, is the spiritual practice of painting a circle in one uninhibited brushstroke, symbolizing a moment when the mind is free to let the body create. The result is either an open or closed circle, the former relating to the Zen idea of wabi-sabi, or the beauty in the imperfection of all things. The latter represents a sort of transitory perfection; not that the practitioner has reached perfection, but that the moment was perfect.

Hyper-independent French duo, The Inspector Cluzo have released the unplugged version of their song “Fishermen,” which was recorded live this past February in Biarritz at Casino Barrière, the last concert the band played as part of their Unplugged tour. “Fishermen” is a fan favorite and induces rowdy sing-a-longs every time the song is performed.  Glide Magazine premiered the song earlier this week saying that The Inspector Cluzo “rings in buoyant jazz, folk & world on ‘Fishermen.’”

After a couple years playing regularly in and around Austin, Cosmic Convoy is happy to announce the release of their first EP, Together Again for the First Time, recorded in Burleson, TX in February 2020.  Cosmic Convoy is made up of long-time friends, and was conceived in September 2017 as a classic country cover band. Over time, original songs by singer Brent Pennington began to make their way into the set, and some of these are what comprise Together Again for the First Time.
