Sweet liberty! We're venturing into the depths of 80s Dead with the complete show from 4/20/84 at the Philadelphia Civic Center and we're placing bets you'll think this one is more than fine. A strong contender for our mega 30 TRIPS AROUND THE SUN boxed set, 4/20/84 missed the cut by virtue of its setlist being a wee bit too similar to the years before and after. Prakash Slim Pokharel was born in a field during the rainy season in a small village, called Lamatar, in the Lalitpur district of Nepal. The village saw its first electric bulb in 1983 and its first motorized vehicle in 1995. He was raised by a loving, loyal family that had very limited means. His father passed away at the age of 29, leaving his mother with three children to raise, one elder brother, a sister, and Prakash.

George Fetner’s a bit of a chameleon. His guises have included stormy Britfolk songwriter (see: 2017’s Some Things We’ll Change), avant-garde composer (see: 2015’s Beneath the Ice) and proggy jam-rock bandleader (see: his bygone trio Pinna). But Fetner seems most natural fronting The Strays, a rangy and loose-limbed rock ‘n’ roll ensemble that’s built for a good time.

When the world’s greatest timple virtuosos Germán López joins forces with international award-winning jazz singer/songwriter Halie Loren you get a whole new creative sound that will have you singling along or deeply memorized.

Grateful Web has the premiere of The Inspector Cluzo's "Ideologies." This unplugged version of the song will be included on the forthcoming album The Organic Farmers Seasons due out in the fall.

After a career spanning more than four decades in rock ’n’ roll and multiple recordings, singer-songwriter Cidny Bullens is releasing a unique, debut album — of sorts. While it’s true Walkin’ Through This World, due out this summer, is actually Bullens’ ninth collection of original songs, it’s the first album he will put out as Cidny Bullens, a transgender man.
