Colorado songwriter Jackson Melnick is pleased to announce the release of his album, Abilene. Available everywhere today, Abilene finds Melnick’s songwriting prowess matched perfectly with the musical talent of collaborators Jason Carter, Matt Combs, Alex Leach, Tuck Tucker, and Cory Walker. Christopher Henry from Peter Rowan Bluegrass Band helmed the band as producer. Although the arrangements draw on the traditional sound of Bill Monroe and Ralph Stanley, among others, Abilene is at heart a songwriter’s record.

Long-running and influential Southern California "cowpunksurfabilly" purveyors The Ziggens have released their long-awaited 19 track album 'Oregon', which marks their 30 year anniversary as a band, and is their first proper studio album in 19 years.

Sony Music Entertainment’s Premium Content Division, in partnership with Sony Pictures Home Entertainment, has announced "The Legendary 1979 No Nukes Concerts," a Bruce Springsteen and The E Street Band film featuring ten never-before released performances from the Madison Square Garden MUSE benefit concerts, and full footage of the band's entire setlist for the first time.

In celebration of what would have been his 91st birthday, Tangerine Records has released a new lyric video for Ray Charles’ timeless recording of “Till There Was You.” The song is included in the recently released limited-edition box set True Genius, which features 90 of the greatest songs from Charles’ legendary career. The highly anticipated set, which has been featured in Rolling Stone and American Songwriter, also includes a special bonus disc of eight previously unreleased tracks recorded live in Stockholm in 1972.

GRAMMY-nominated band Common Kings delivered their brand new single  "Islands To Nashville" via tastemaker label Mensch House Records.  On "Islands to Nashville,” Common Kings have pushed the bar yet again and infused their unique sound with vibes straight out of Nashville. The track takes the Common Kings trademark style and laces it in with some sugary sweet pop melodies to create a melodic mix that you won’t stop listening to.

Genre defining electronic musicians Thievery Corporation kicked off their Outernational Tour last Friday at the ornate Wall Street Theater in Norwalk, CT to a packed house. Despite issues traveling to Connecticut, the band was thrilled to be performing together, as this marks the first tour since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. Dessa was on hand and lended support for the event.

Fab Four enthusiasts will be delighted this month to have been granted access to four previously unreleased mixes from the band’s 1969 and 1970 Get Back sessions which ultimately culminated in 1970’s Let It Be. The batch of songs, released collectively as a single titled Get Back (Take 8), includes alternate versions of “Get Back,” “One After 909,” “Across The Universe,” and George Harrison’s “I Me Mine.”

Gibson Gives, the philanthropic arm of Gibson--the iconic American guitar brand--has announced today a $300,000 donation to benefit students attending Metro Nashville Public Schools. The public private partnership Music Makes Us will distribute the donation of guitars and other music equipment across Metro Nashville Public Schools music education programs, as well as sistering school districts.
