San Francisco-based singer-songwriter EllaHarp has released the latest single, “Sunshine and Roses,” from her upcoming full-length album Screaming Into The Void (out September 17). The song, while having a bright, positive title, was actually penned about EllaHarps ongoing battle with depression.

The Ellameno Beat, manned and armed by frontman Reggie Froom, released “Jump The Gun” on July 30th, 2021 across streaming services. The genre-warping track releases with an accompanying music video, both of which were created entirely in Froom’s home studio. An artist of multiple mediums and an avid music lover, Froom’s found inspiration in psychedelic rock, roots reggae, and funk, creating an output that is a personal blend all his own.

Today, Runaway Gin, a nationally acclaimed Phish tribute band announced a fifteen-date fall tour. Known as the world’s most active Phish tribute act, the group will make stops at various venues along the east coast before trekking out west. Additional highlights include a hometown tour opener at the Charleston Pour House, a visit to Resonance Music and Arts Festival, and a Trey Anastasio Band after-party in Charlotte, NC.

Grammy-nominated singer, songwriter and musician Brent Cobb will continue to perform throughout the fall with his newly confirmed “Shut Up and Sing Tour.” The headline run, which will feature support from Adam Hood, kicks off September 22 at Houston’s The Heights Theatre and includes stops at Dallas’ The Kessler Theater, Birmingham’s Saturn, St. Louis’ Old Rock House, Columbus’ A&R Music Bar and Rocky Mount’s Harvester Performance Center among many others.

Chris Stapleton returned to the stage over the weekend for three sold-out concerts at Gilford, NH’s Bank of New Hampshire Pavilion. His first shows in 504 days, the performances featured the five-time Grammy Award winner along with his band: Dave Cobb (guitar), J.T. Cure (bass), Paul Franklin (steel guitar), Derek Mixon (drums), Morgane Stapleton (vocals, tambourine) and Mickey Raphael (harmonica) as well as special guest openers Elle King and Nikki Lane.

Folk singer-songwriter Michael Johnathon kicks off his 2021 season of WoodSongs Old Time Radio Hour with the reigning Queen of Bluegrass, IBMA & GRAMMY award winner, and Grand Ole’ Opry member, Rhonda Vincent & The Rage, on August 16 at the Lyric Theater in Lexington, Kentucky. Vincent will perform new music from her album, Music Is What I See. Plus, special guest is the young Dillon Massengale and his family band as he and Rhonda are set to perform their Merle Haggard single, and tell his musical story overcoming autism.

Apparently, some people just won’t give up on long held goals and aspirations. Jeff Brewer and Robert Hutchinson, co-conspirators behind the inception of what was to become The Far Cry, can vividly recall the musical awakening that occurred in their younger days when The Beatles landed and with all that followed. Soon thereafter, they each were even more deeply moved by the emergence of the Progressive Rock bands of the early 70’s, most notably King Crimson, Yes, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Genesis and Gentle Giant.
