Marc Herremans, also known as Mad Max, is born on December 19 in 1973 in Merksem, Belgium-Flanders. He is a well-known triathlon athlete, who unfortunately became disabled after a dramatic fall during one of his training sessions in Lanzarote 2002. More information about Marc can be found on following website: http://www.marcherremans.be.  Don't forget to put on the sound when visiting this site.

A couple of weeks ago Mike asked me to go to the Phix show at the Fox and write a review; I'm not going to write a review of a cover band, I told him. You'll wind up with ridiculous lines like "Paul was really channeling Trey on that cover of Moma Dance" or "their version of Punch You in the Eye almost made me feel like it really was Phish." Over the last several days he kept bugging me in his inimitable Yahoo!

On the anniversary of one of the all-timers, this show is held so dear by so many deadheads that it is one of the true links for newbie to old-timer (as someone notes below).  It has almost invariably been one of the first tapes of a show that we first had our minds blown by and one of the first tapes that we literally wore out...most of us know the Betty Board with the Minglewood fade in and the chunk missing (Ouch!) from Lazy Lightning>Supplication which otherwise is of great quality.  My highest recommendation is to listen regularly to the

Phil Lesh was in Denver autographing his new book, Searching for the Sound, and we were there to meet him.  The Tattered Cover hosted the event.  At least 500 on hand to have their books signed. Phil started autographing books around 7PM, 30 minutes early; no doubt the good crowd prompted this.  We were probably 200th on line and Phil was taking about 20 - 30 seconds chatting with most people.

There are very few treasures that arrive with a battered acoustic guitar and open up the windows on basic lives with passion and grace. But when John Prine hits the road, the darkest corners and smallest joys get illuminated by the light of his gravelly, utterly American voice, his way with the plainest of language and the vintage Guild and Martin guitars he plays.

SPOOKIE DALY PRIDE is a four piece band from Boston Massachusetts that delivers high energy, joyful hip hop-infused roots rock, with deep soulful grooves and catchy, hookfilled songs. On the strength of their songs alone, SDP would be stylin', but their uplifting, live performances gives them that extra something that takes them to 11. The music and the show truly defy comparisons, though Tom Waits fronting the Muppet band keeps popping up!

The 10,000 Lakes Festival is proud to announce the complete list of performers for its third annual event, scheduled for July 21-24 at the scenic Soo Pass Ranch in Detroit Lakes, Minnesota. In addition to two nights of festival headliners Widespread Panic and former Phish guitarist/front man Trey Anastasio, the event features two dozen other artists performing in a wide range of musical styles.

Hookahville, the Ohio festival institution celebrating its 11th year as a production, has confirmed the lineup for the Spring event Friday and Saturday, May 28-29 at Frontier Ranch Music Center in Kirkersville, Ohio.  Hosted by the Columbus, Ohio group, ekoostik hookah and their two nights of headlining shows, the two-day music and camping event features the talents of veterans of the improvisational music world, as well as some of the top younger talent the scene has to offer.
