7 Walkers regretfully announces that they will not be able to perform their scheduled shows on Oct 12 at the NY Harvest Fest & Freedom Fair and Oct 13 at the Family Roots Fall Festival. On the most recent tour, Bill suffered through recurrent severe lateral epicondylitis of his left arm that has been resistant to treatment. The condition will prevent his ability to perform as a drummer for the next several months. He has been resting back home and is doing well.

Old Faithful (7 Walkers) blew again, as is does, this past Friday night at The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Museum in Cleveland, OH.  The show kicked off at 8:00P, just as the sun was going down. All it took to get the party started was the first twang of the guitar string and the people started to move. The main stage was positioned in front of huge windows overlooking Lake Erie with some standard tie died tapestries strewn about.

Fresh water and blue skies await me this weekend at the 10th annual Hoxeyville Music Festival.  Life has been rough for me the past few weeks.  I’m gonna pack my rain gear, a few hoodies, my golf bag, and for this special weekend, I am actually going to skip the sandals and bring some real shoes.

Work sucks. Bill collectors are calling.  I’m ready for an escape.

Beech Mountain will see festival goers from across the country flood Eastern America’s Highest Town and enter through the wardrobe and into the parody land of GNARNIA. The all star musical lineup will perform against the backdrop of a stunning view that extends for a hundred miles making it one of the most unique and picturesque festivals of all the lands.GNARNIA is becoming one of the most arts-saturated events on the East Coast.

On August 1st at the Beekman Beer Garden, Jerry Garcia’s birthday will be celebrated with sets by two artists connected to the Grateful Dead legacy:  7 Walkers, featuring Bill Kreutzmann of the Dead, and guitarist Steve Kimock, who has performed with the Other Ones, Phil Lesh & Friends and RatDog.  Hard-touring Brooklyn-based roots collective Yarn will open the show.  Located within the South Street Seaport

Thanks for continuing to check out our coverage of the 2012 17th Annual Gathering of the Vibes festival. Friday started off rainy. Quite the opposite from my experience last year of being the hottest I have ever been in my entire life (record breaking 100 degree temperature with all humidity?! Makes this Colorado guy weary!) Regardless, the continuing drizzle didn’t stop any of the fun. If anything the crowd was thinner and more relaxed all day.

Shout out to the Vibe Tribe out there for Dylan Muhlberg. This year I have the distinct pleasure of covering the 17th annual Gathering of the Vibes festival, which is celebrating its eighth year in Bridgeport, Connecticut. Bridgeport is a diverse city on the Connecticut shoreline off of the Long Island Sound. The venue, Seaside Park, has hosted the Gathering all these years and by all counts is an incredible site.

The Rock and Roll Hall of Fame will host a weekend of events surrounding the Museum’s special exhibit devoted to Grateful Dead powered by McIntosh.

Following a sold-out festival in 2011, the 11th Annual Northwest String Summit cranks the volume up to 11 as they present the finest acoustic pickers and standout electric bands to commemorate the anniversary of Jerry Garcia's passing (August 9, 1995) at Horning's Hideout in North Plains, OR. Northwest String Summit is happening from August 9 - 12, 2012.
