The Late Great Launch First Single

Submitted by Ramble on management on Fri, 02/19/2016 - 10:56 am

The Late Great is a folkrock band from the north of Norway. This is the first single from the upcoming album "Songs From The 21st Century".

"A Young Lover's Dream" is a poetic lovesong in the balladeer style of the 60's.

Singer-songwriter Tor Thomassen has been playing small venues with his acoustic guitar and harmonica for quite a while. Now he has put together a full production and band around his songs.

The sound is warm, bright and promising!

Submitted by Groove On Music on Thu, 02/18/2016 - 1:43 pm

Del McCoury is at it again.  At 77 years young he is still very excited about music and creating projects that will be enjoyed by generations to come.  This one might just be the most talked about as it’s rare for two artists to team up on music separated by 70+ years…some of these lyrics were written the year Del was born, but with Woody’s timeless lyrics, and Del’s timeless sound, nothing matters but the songs.

Terrapin Flyer | Portland | 2/7/16 | Review

Submitted by Regan Crisp on Thu, 02/18/2016 - 10:29 am

Terrapin Flyer have long been respected for their Grateful Dead interpretations and their tendency to team up with impressive members of the extended Dead family. The Chicago cover group hit Portland’s Star Theatre February 11 as part of a Mardi Gras Tour, presented by the Grateful Web and day-glo’d by the Merry Pranksters, with old friends Melvin Seals (Jerry Garcia Band), and Mark Karan (The Other Ones, RatDog) helping to hold down two stellar sets of New Orleans-charged tunes.
