Brandi Carlile and Jason Isbell’s summer tours crossed paths in Portland, Maine Saturday night, co-headlining a double bill at Thompson’s Point, a midsize outdoor venue on the banks of the city’s Fore River. Both artists were backed by their full bands, and each played a set of about an hour and 15 minutes before a sold-out crowd of close to 5,000.

Alaska’s Salmonfest, now in its eighth year, is a shining blossom to the wonderfully charismatic Alaskan music scene.  This August 3rd-5th the salmon run will be on as roughly 9,000 people of strange and exotic ilk make their pilgrimage to the tiny hamlet of Ninilchik, deep in the heart of the Kenai Peninsula.  Boasting sixty-five bands and four stages, Salmonfest, nestled in the pristine environment amidst Cook Inlet and the Ninilchik River, is where musicians from around the globe gather in the name of fish, love, and music.

Z2 Entertainment, in proud partnership with FMQB and 97.3 KBCO, is thrilled to announce the 2018 Fox Theatre and FMQB Free Outdoor Stage lineup for the FMQB Triple A Conference. Boston Calling returned to Boston, MA, this past weekend in an entirely new form – a venue that featured grass. Previously held in Boston’s City Hall Plaza, this year’s festival was held at the Harvard Athletic Complex, trading the concrete ground of downtown Boston for the open-space fields of Cambridge’s most elite school.

Despite the extreme heat and an early weather evacuation Friday, Forecastle Festival 2016 was a success. Clouds rolled in around 4:00PM on Friday afternoon and evacuated the festival grounds. Fans took shelter and waited for a storm that never fully developed. Luckily the schedule was adjusted and there were no cancelations.

Dear Austin City Limits,
