Ah, the fresh smell of spring. The bird songs are swirling, people are smiling, and the sweet sounds of music fills the damp air. This time of year is special for a multitude of reasons, however for many concert-goers this time of year means one crucial thing, music festivals are upon us. The festival scene have grown exponentially in the last five years, many starting as underground gatherings that have since blossomed into extravagant music and arts communities, drawing hundreds of thousands of fans from across the globe.

Jason Isbell Summer Tour Dates Announced

Acclaimed, award-winning artist Jason Isbell has announced tour dates in support of the July 17 release of Something More Than Free, his highly anticipated fifth album (Southeastern Records). Isbell will be touring extensively with his band The 400 Unit, featuring Derry Deborja (Keys), Chad Gamble (drums), Jimbo Hart (bass) and Sadler Vaden (guitar). The tour will include stops in Brooklyn, Los Angeles, Philadelphia, Minneapolis, Seattle and Portland. (see tour dates below).

Jason Isbell: Live At Austin City Limits DVD To Be Released November 24

On August 19, 2013, Jason Isbell and his band The 400 Unit, stepped out onto the stage in front of a live audience in Austin, TX to film his first appearance on the longest running original music series in the U.S., Austin City Limits. This special night for Isbell, his bandmates and all in attendance, will be released on DVD as Jason Isbell: Live at Austin City Limits on November 24 via Southeastern Records.

Jason Isbell's 'Southeastern' Receives Critical Acclaim

Acclaimed singer-songwriter Jason Isbell's new album, Southeastern reached the artist’s highest ever debut on the Billboard Top 200 chart at #23, selling over 17,500 units. The album debuted at #8 at rock, #5 indie and #13 at digital. These numbers represent something special for Isbell and his small indie label Southeastern Records/Thirty Tigers. Combined with the overwhelming support from the press upon its June 11 release, Southeastern marks a true milestone for Isbell as an artist.
