FESTY, the Virginia-bred music festival-turned destination entertainment experience is pleased to announce the addition of Andrew Marlin and Rising Appalachia to its 2021 event season.

The Festy Experience is ecstatic to announce the initial music lineup for the 9th annual festival, happening October 5-7, 2018 at Infinity Downs Farm in Arrington, Virginia. The lineup features a carefully curated blend of national and regional roots music acts, featuring Greensky Bluegrass, Gillian Welch, Railroad Earth, Sam Bush Band, Della Mae, Ricky Skaggs & Kentucky Thunder, Fruition, Carbon Leaf, Rubblebucket, Sons of Bill, Hackensaw Boys, Bonnie Payne. Tickets are on-sale now.

The 8th Annual Festy Experience takes place October 5-8, 2017 in the Blue Ridge Bowl at Infinity Downs Farm, a 387-acre property in Arrington, Virginia (also the new home of LOCKN' Festival) at the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains. The Festy aims to give the ultimate laid back festival experience which is fun for the entire family: camping, outdoor activities, craft food and beer, daily yoga, the 22nd Annual Blue Ridge Burn (5k/10k), and stellar music!
The Festy Experience is excited to announce the first half of its music lineup for the 8th annual festival, happening October 5-8, 2017 in the Blue Ridge Bowl at Infinity Downs Farm in Arrington, Virginia. The lineup comprises a carefully curated blend of national and local roots music acts, featuring The Infamous Stringdusters, Drive-By Truckers, Sam Bush Band, The Travelin' McCourys, The Jerry Douglas Band, Cabinet, Billy Strings, Love Canon, Carl Anderson, and The 8th Annual Garrettgrass Gospel Hour. And this is just half of the artist lineup.

Our society has developed a Chicken Little mentality that leaves lots of folks either glued to their cell phone or computer while waiting for a miracle or cringing that the good old days are gone.

Five years in, The Festy Experience, has proven itself to be as enjoyable, accessible and certain to give attendees more than their money’s worth both musically and scenically as any festival on the East Coast.  You do not have to load up a week’s worth of supplies and go all the way to Florida.  You do not have to pray and dodge 18 wheelers buzzing by at 85 miles per hour nor endure hour’s long traffic jams on your way up and down hundreds of miles of interstate l- 95.  The Festy is conveniently located about an hour so

Take one little mountain valley, mix in some mandolins, mud, master brewers, musicians, and some local towns named Roseland and Lovingston and what you get is a well organized and highly enjoyable musical event known as The Festy.  Greeted with road signs pointing out Walton’s Mountain, the Patrick Henry Highway and Thomas Jefferson’s Poplar Forest while passing through classic Americana towns on curvy mountain roads; folk’s attitudes were appropriately adjusted before hearing the first song.

Beginning with an Infamous Stringdusters show in August, 2009 at the Brew Ridge Music Festival located at Devils Backbone Brewery in Nelson County, The Festy was born.  The Stringdusters and Friends created a festival of their own design located just south of the village of Nellysford in Nelson County, Virginia.
