A story with a head wound is always a good story. This story has a head wound. But it's not the best part of the story. This story is about music. Music at Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival. You'll notice I omitted the. It's not The Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival. It’s Grey Fox. We’ll get to that just like we’ll get to the head wound. But first, music. After all, that’s why we travel to the Catskills every year. But why this music? What about this music sets it apart? Truth be told, bluegrass can feel so rigid.

Front Country released a brand video covering k.d. lang’s cowgirl poetry classic, “Pullin’ Back the Reins." It’s the fifth release in their Kitchen Covers video series, in which they’ve also done covers of Tom Petty, Tina Turner, Grateful Dead, and tUnE-yArDs. Front Country is excited to share their version of “Pullin’ Back the Reins” as their appearance at Calgary Folk Fest in Alberta, Canada approaches next week.

Taking place in Ninilchik, Alaska, on the beautiful Kenai Peninsula, August 3rd-5th, Salmonfest showcases the unique Alaskan music scene, along with the likes of Michael Franti & Spearhead, Fruition, and Brandi Carlile.  Featuring some of Alaska’s top bands, such as Hope Social Club, with Melissa Mitchell, and Blackwater Railroad Company, Salmonfest offers a pristine environment for musicians to come together and mix it up for fish.  Supported by Kachemak Bay Conservation Society, Cook Inletkeeper, and Musicians United

The 17th Annual Northwest String Summit (String Summit) is one of the top boutique live music experiences in the country and presents an array of today's leaders in the Americana, Bluegrass, Indy Rock, and Jam genres. It all happens at the iconic Horning's Hideout (North Plains, OR) from July 19 - 22, 2018. Located just 20 miles outside of Portland, OR, Horning's Hideout, a private family-owned reserve of old-growth trees, wild peacocks, ponds, and campsites, stands as one of the most scenic festival sites in the country.

Nashville’s up-and-coming Roots Pop band, Front Country, release their rendition of Grateful Dead’s “Tennessee Jed”. This video is the fourth in a series of covers that Front Country has dubbed their Kitchen Covers.

Grateful Web is excited to present local Colorado Newgrass road warriors, Head for the Hills and Front Country, who plays Bay Area Bluegrass, a cross-genre jaunt spanning indie, folk, Americana and traditional bluegrass.  With support from local boys Timber!, this is a perfect Thursday night pickin' and grinnin' hoedown in Boulder.

American Beauty NYC, midtown Manhattan’s premier craft beer bar + music venue is gearing up for another few weeks full of exciting concerts.

Aaron Johnston (Brazilian Girls) has recruited keyboardist Borahm Lee (Break Science), saxophonist Ryan Zoidis (Lettuce), and bassist Nate Edgar (The Nth Power) to form J.E.D.I. for a night of improvisational jazz on Friday, 12/2.
