Hangout Beach Festival
Nicki Bluhm and The Gramblers announce that they will continue their 2013 North American tour with performances at Bonnaroo, Newport Folk Festival and Mountain Jam in Hunter, NY, Hangout in Gulf Shores, AL and Strawberry Music Festival in Yosemite, CA this summer. The band is also pleased to announce their South By Southwest schedule as this year is their inaugural appearance at the legendary festival in Austin, TX.Earlier this year, NB&TGs released two new original songs “Little Too Late” and “Ravenous” which they have been performing in their live shows as well
Year number three of The Hangout Festival was bigger and better than before. It seems promoters really listened to feedback from 2011 and were able to cut down on the insane entrance lines by mailing out the wristbands two weeks before the show, and increasing the availability of transportation in shuttles and “Catch a Chevy” to help get people safely around Gulf Shores.
The second annual Hangout Music Festival is sold out. The 3-day beach music festival, now one of the largest weekend festivals in the US, takes place May 20-22 with performances from over 70 bands including Paul Simon, Foo Fighters, Widespread Panic, The Black Keys, My Morning Jacket, The Flaming Lips, andCee Lo Green.
Hangout Festival is partnering with the nonprofit organization Conscious Alliance to host an ‘Art That Feeds’ food drive at this year’s event. All attendees are encouraged to bring non-perishable food items to donate, which will benefit the Bay Area Food Bank. Anyone that donates 10 non-perishable food items will receive a free, limited edition commemorative event poster created by Roman Villagrana.
The Hangout Music Festival has added twelve more acts to its May 20-22, 2011 lineup. The newest artist additions include The Avett Brothers, STS9, Grace Potter and the Nocturnals, Brandi Carlile, JJ Grey and Mofro, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Big Gigantic, Soja, Railroad Earth, Greensky Bluegrass, Rival Sons and Honey Island Swamp Band.
