Kinky Friedman

Before Billy Joe Shaver’s death in 2020, Willie Nelson called him the greatest living songwriter. That isn’t out of line, as Billy Joe is a member of the Texas Country Music Hall of Fame and winner of the Academy of Country Music’s Poet’s Award. His songs have been covered by Nelson, Waylon Jennings, Patty Loveless, and many others, and even featured in films such as the Academy Award-winning Crazy Heart.
 

Over the past decade, St. Louis band Brothers Lazaroff has grown its annual Hanukkah Hullabaloo into one of the year's most popular holiday events. Unveiled for this year is a new celebrity-packed, Livestream show as The 10th Annual Brothers Lazaroff Hanukkah Hullabaloo: A Virtual Miracle kicks off Saturday, December 12 at 8 PM EST.

As Luck would have it... we’re bringing Willie Nelson’s annual 4th of July Picnic to the people this year; part Picnics past, part what’s to come, and all in the spirit of the Picnic’s storied history. On July 4th, starting at 3:30 pm Central, fans will be able to enjoy interviews with characters from the Picnic’s past, and see new, live performances from their favorite Luck Family artists.

This spring, starting April 27th in Kansas City, Missouri, Kinky Friedman, author, musician, politician, and self-proclaimed Governor of the Heart of Texas, will be performing dates throughout the Midwest and East Coast as part of his Springtime for Kinky Tour of 2011. Often returning to places he has not visited in two decades, the Kinkster will appear solo (primarily) and promote his most recent books, What Would Kinky Do? and Heroes of a Texas Childhood.
