The spooky vibes returned for Day Two at Hulaween in the Spirit of Suwannee Music Park on Friday, October 27, 2023. This day's headliners included three forces to be reckoned with in the jam rock world: The Trey Anastasio Band, Goose, and of course, our Hulaween hosts, The String Cheese Incident. The latter two collaborated for a surprise opening during the String Cheese Incident's second set.

The String Cheese Incident made a stop at Penn’s Peak in Jim Thorpe, PA on Thursday night in the midst of their tour with Willie Nelson and his Outlaw Music Festival.  The venue was packed to the gills when showtime hit at 7:30 and the crowd was treated to an evening of SCI songs new and old, full of their signature blend of concise songwriting and exploratory instrumentals that kept the people dancing from the first beat to the very last.  There is someth

To close out 2022, The String Cheese Incident decided to play it close to home and ring in the new year at Denver’s musical gem, the intimate Mission Ballroom. Topping out at 4,000 heads, getting to see SCI in such a small venue for three consecutive nights and so close to their own front doors meant that the band and extended community were in for a sold-out homecoming of sorts filled with familiar faces from both sides of the stage.

Last Friday night, Matt Butler brought his Everyone Orchestra to Terrapin Crossroads. The band, whose exact makeup typically changes (with the exception of Butler) from location to location, consisted of Michael Kang (String Cheese Incident), Jason Hann (String Cheese Incident), Aron Magner (The Disco Biscuits), Ross James (Terrapin Family Band), Robin Sylvester (RatDog), Sunshine Garcia Becker (Furthur), Zach Nugent (Melvin Seals & JGB), and Andrea Whitt (Zucchero Fornaciari). They also had played the night before with Dan Lebowitz (ALO) in Ross James’ spot. Most of the members had played in Everyone Orchestra at some point before, the exceptions being Nugent and Whitt.

The ever-changing Everyone Orchestra and its ringleader Matt Butler is a carnival collective of musicians juggling their instrumental talents in an all-out improvised landscape.

For The String Cheese Incident’s Michael Kang, another fall tour is on the horizon and things are looking brighter than ever for the nearly 20-year veteran. After all, the eclectic six-piece jam band just finished up yet another action-packed stretch filled with headlining spots at some of the summer’s biggest festivals, a spectacular three-night Red Rocks run, as well as purchasing a brand-new studio space to master some of their upcoming tracks.

The third annual Beanstalk Music and Arts Festival returned to the State Bridge Amphitheater in Bond, Colorado this past May, proving once again that The Magic Beans, perfect Colorado weather, and a slew of other incredible acts are the perfect recipe for a fun-filled weekend. The Magic Beans played all three nights, filling State Bridge with their mixed-genre, upbeat space funk.
