Riding high from the release of their latest singles "Lesson," "Are You Gonna?" and "Reachin' Up," Pimps of Joytime announce they will join George Clinton & Parliament Funkadelic as an opening act on their summer tour 2022 following the release of PJT's much-anticipated new studio album, Reachin' Up.

Riding high from the release of their latest singles "Lesson" and "Are You Gonna?," Pimps of Joytime release the third single and title track "Reachin' Up" featured on their much-anticipated new studio album, Reachin' Up, on Friday, March 4, 2022 on Regime Music Group. An intersection of Brooklyn's indie music scene, New Orleans funk and San Francisco soul, the PJT's new studio album, Reachin' Up, drops worldwide on Friday, April 15, 2022.

Riding high from the release of their latest dance single "Lesson," Pimps of Joytime welcome 2022 with "Are You Gonna?," the second single featured on their much-anticipated new studio album, Reachin' Up, set for release on February 4, 2022 on Regime Music Group.

Pimps of Joytime have announced their forthcoming album Reachin’ Up, out February 4, 2022, alongside the release of its first single “Lesson.”  The single is a perfect teaser for Pimps’ vibrant new full-length album, brimming with frontman and GRAMMY nominated producer Brian J’s trademark kaleidoscopic styles and undeniably funkified dance music. Pimps of Joytime mirror the diversity of their communities through an amalgamation of New Orleans and Bay Area funk elements, juxtaposed with Brooklyn's DIY ethos.

The sad passing on October 12 of Andy Goessling, founding member of Railroad Earth, the ongoing host band for the Hangtown Music Festival (Oct. 25-28), was a unifying thread at this year’s fest, prompting outspoken love, respect, and admiration. In the end, the shared loss sparked a like-minded cause for life celebration and a shared process of moving forward amid a backdrop of fabulous music, Halloween costumes, and community.

Pimps of Joytime puts the needle in the groove with its fresh collection of 10 funk anthems ready to put a smile on faces across the globe. An intersection of Brooklyn's indie music scene, New Orleans funk and San Francisco soul, the Pimps' new studio release Third Wall Chronicles (Sugar Road Records: March 24, 2017) unites us around a common bond of Peace, Love and Music.

Just yesterday, just two days ahead of their Red Rocks debut, Brooklyn's Pimps of Joytime release their lighthearted new music video for "Dance Cardia."

Directed by Jean Shepherd, the video was shot on location in the band's hometown of Brooklyn, NY. It reveals frontman Brian J as "The Hustler" versus his childhood foil, "The People's Champ", as they converge for a climactic game of Jenga by the train tracks.

Brooklyn beat ensemble, the Pimps of Joytime, have tacked on a string of west-focused dates to their 2016 touring itinerary. Intriguing pairings with Orgone, Big Sam’s Funky Nation and Leftover Salmon highlight the group's two-week run of the west this spring. Tickets go on sale today, Jan. 15 at 12pm PST.
