Spoon

The second day of the 2022 Beale Street Music Festival got under away in the early afternoon under humid cloudy skies. The threat of rain persisted throughout the day but held off until the evening hours. During day two, there were so many impressive musical moments that festival-goers had to tailor their choices to their own personal preferences. The Zynn stage became the Hip-Hop stage for the second day.

Spoon have revealed their first tour in support of the forthcoming album Lucifer on the Sofa, out February 11th on Matador Records. Hailed by Time magazine as “one of the greatest American rock bands,” Spoon will bring the pure rock n’ roll sounds of the highly anticipated new album to stages across the country.

Thanks to Nederlander Concerts, a few thousand fortunate live music fans were treated to an intimate concert at the beautiful Vina Robles Amphitheatre on September 22nd. St. Vincent and Spoon brought a blistering double bill of guitar-drenched rock to the mountain fringed venue just three days before their sold-out appearance in front of 18,000 fans at the Hollywood Bowl.

Jim Eno - drummer for Spoon and producer of artists including Telekinesis, !!!, Heartless Bastards, and The Relatives - has launched Public Hi-Fi Records, a label extension of his Austin, TX studio. Like his recent Spotify Sessions with The Shins, Father John Misty, Poliça, and Tennis, among others, the label will be entirely curated by Eno. He will also produce and engineer each release, with a focus on sonic quality.
