Submitted by June Reedy on Wed, 06/13/2012 - 5:17 pm

I have a problem. It’s not a joke. I am addicted to music. I have been a victim to this addiction since 1987, maybe earlier.  That was my first live music experience.   My addiction to music has affected me adversely in the following ways: uncontrollable smiles, a feeling of connection to everyone around me, and a sense of synchronicity with harmony and syncopation within my everyday surroundings.

Do you know that feeling of wonder and amazement when you return home from a long road trip?  The rotating miles still in your head mixed with the relief of stability and security are a sensation hard to translate into words.  The home town Thanksgiving show of Umphrey’s McGee and Cornmeal recreated that feeling for me.  The Spanish Harlem setting of the Aragon Ballroom shook with more than the juice of the worm.  I

The 2nd Annual Catskill Chill Music Festival..2011
